I'm not finding much online presence for Whistler's Bend, and nothing recent in what I do find... Looking at the wildfire maps, it looks to be out of immediate harm's way. Any local info on the course?
I purchased a car on EBay, and am flying into Eugene, Oregon on Sept. 12th to pick it up over in North Bend on the 13th. I plan on hitting Dexter Park before leaving the Eugene area, then Whistler's Bend in Roseburg after picking up the car. From there I plan to make my way to I80, and eastward...
Here's my bag experience, and I'm sure many here will relate:
I began with a handfull of discs, noticed others carrying bags, so ordered a cheap starter bag (Lightning) off Ebay. Had more discs than I could fit in it just a few weeks after its arrival... Did some research, cost comparison...
MonkeyTraps by DG Monkey (Russell Burns).
High quality, heavy gauge steel, powder-coated in your favorite colors, and made in America by a disc golfer that gives much more to this sport than he could ever take in profits.

Check my gallery for some early and recent shots of the course. Someday I'll get around to getting a good full set of pics at one time... Oh well.
Frosty's is in great shape right now, albeit still rough around the edges. Starting to get some color in the trees, it's going to...
Welcome from across the big muddy...
What part of IA? I play several of the eastern IA courses fairly regularly, from Burlington to the QC. Always happy to throw with someone new.
Any of the Latitude "Easy to use" line; Diamond, Jade, Ruby, etc.

Your best bet would be to head to a local disc shop to actually get your hands on discs before you purchase, but I know that's not always possible, unless you're only looking for Innova.
Get some Flippy Floppers by Hyper Pet, available here in IL at Menards. They are the best flying, most heavy-duty cloth/rubber soft disc on the market... Much better for your dog's teeth and for your putters. I find it's good practice to train your dogs to only pick up their discs, especially if...
