Look at scoring data from the field of players at the distance/skill level the hole has been designed for. Determine the lowest score that at least 15% have thrown. That's a birdie since it's the score players and commentators would refer to as "scoring". On hole 12, about 1% score 4 and 20%...

Not sure what the format requirements are for Master Worlds. We're hosting next year and think we would have enough quality courses so Am divisions could play 3 or 4 different courses while the pro divisions play 2.

Organizers are starting to get the message that courses need to be shorter for FPO to get better scoring and closer scoring among competitors to match the scoring and competitiveness in MPO. Texas States is a good example of this direction.

I agree, especially since players are only playing against the course(s) and not directly against their field. Just let first place ties stand. Then, do the putting competition as an entertaining side game that determines who gets first place money but the tournament title remains shared. ;)

Playing all 18 holes is a complete game unit of challenges which we agree can't/won't be done. Each hole tests a different combination of challenges. Any starting playoff hole and those that follow which may or may not need to be played are a random portion of the full game unit with the skill...
