Mark996, I agree with you. In my experience, a pop top creates less stability and more glide. But the OP seems to suggest otherwise and I guess that's where my confusion came in.

I would say I am probably about even for the number of chain-outs vs aces. I have 8 aces and probably about the same number of chain-outs. Now, if we're talking about metal hits such as the bogey band or the cage, then I would say I easily have at least 3 times as many chain-outs/bogey band...

Played Wills Park this morning which is my home course and a course I expect to score well on. It's fairly wooded, but not too punishing. I had a decent round this morning: I birdied the first 5 holes in row(!) and finished bogey free with a... -7. :\
