Deceptively Challenging
Every hole has a concrete tee pad (I do have a comment to make on them but that'll be a little further down). There's a good mix of short technical holes, ace run opportunities and longer bomber holes, and there's a great variety of shot shapes to consider. Most, if...

Hauntingly Beautiful, Stunningly Difficult
If ever there were a location that cried out for a disc golf course, Hummel Park would be it. If you know Omaha, you probably know that Hummel has a lore all its own. The course itself feels like it's miles away from everything in many spots, and save...

Omaha's Most Popular (and Busiest) Course
Most holes have two (concrete) tee pads, and all of them have several basket placements. There is enough variety in basket placements that your strategy can drastically change after they're moved, and hole 5 also offers a very different look from the...

Short But Technical City Park Course
The course is in a well-maintained park and makes good use of the wooded areas and elevation changes within the park. While the elevation changes aren't as extreme as a course like Hummel, they do come into play on a few holes, mainly if you are off the...

One of the Best in the Omaha Area
Lots of variety. Decent elevation change and a good mix of challenging holes with easier ones. Multiple tee pad/basket locations with different line choices depending on which tee pad you play from. If you make accurate shots you'll be rewarded with...
You're a lucky man if your wife plays disc golf with you. I'm trying to get mine to give it a try, but her allergies are brutal this time of year, and she doesn't deal well with heat so getting her to play anything more than a very quick 9 at one of the shorter courses around here is a definite...
I have 22 in my bag currently, but I have one duplicate of almost everything in case I lose one (for example, I have 3 Heats, 3 Buzzzes, and 3 Roaches, as well as 2 Escapes, 2 Emac Truths, and 2 Rivers).
It was good seeing Nate Doss win a major tournament again. It's impressive seeing guys like Ricky and Paul win by 10+ strokes over second place, but it's nice seeing someone else win too.
I haven't watched too many tournaments on YouTube yet, but I'd say my favorite so far was the Vibram Open...
I played Seymour Smith with a friend today. Some holes went better, some went worse. My putting wasn't as good today, so I ended up bogeying a lot of holes that I could've taken par on if I were better from the edge of the circle. My midrange game was also really hot and cold today, I seemed...

I plan to cut back to carrying 6-8 on the course

That's what I generally hear them referred to here as well. My first encounter with one was in the cab of a tractor, and it built its web about half an inch away from the armrest of the seat, so they creep the hell out of me.
Thank you. :)
Sadly, I haven't eaten at the Drover yet. My wife is a vegetarian, so I'm pretty limited on restaurant choices.
Glad you enjoyed your visit here though! I moved here from small-town Nebraska, and I'm a lot happier here. Just wish we had more disc golf courses in the area. ;)
Disc golf is a fairly new thing for me. Up until about a year ago, I didn't even know anybody who played it, and around that time I had a couple friends who asked me if I wanted to try it, to which my response was basically, "meh". A few months after that, I met a couple other disc golfers...
