    What's a good starting driver?

I am also noob(ish) and have spent the last month trying different drivers. I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Discraft Stratus, a bit friendlier than the XL, and fairly easy to throw for new arms.

    Noob, looking for some advice.

••••UPDATE•••• So, I have been doing a lot of practicing and have finally achieved flat, smooth flight (most of the time) out of my drivers. My distance has increased a bit, but I'm sure with more practice it will come. I had a blast last night playing my favorite course (Amesbury, MA) and...

    Noob, looking for some advice.

yeah, it must be. It's stamped (molded on the underside Innova Champion Discs, Inc. Rancho Cucamonga) and looks & feels just like Champion plastic. I can't wait to get out of work and get it airborne! :D

    Noob, looking for some advice.

So I just did a search on the QJLS, and couldn't find anything... The one I got, definitely appears to be an Innova disc in champion plastic. Can anyone enlighten me?

Newbie looking for help with drive, inc video

I also noticed the differences in these two vids. I have practiced both, and have been trying to imitate Beto's more, but using the "keep loose" mentality and other pointers from the Discraft vid.

Thank you, I'm definitely in info overload. Thx for the summary and pointing out the major things to remember. USPS just showed up with my Climo/Feldberg DVD, and my shiny new QJLS. I do have a question about the JLS, it is made by Innova? I was checking it out and underneath is the the...

Haha, I think "baby steps is the way to go. I have been watching Dan Beto's video on youtube (mentioned w/link earlier) over & over, and have been working on the flat & 2 step. I don't have an area large enough to throw at home, so I've been faking it (over & over). My shoulder and arm are...

    Noob, looking for some advice.

lol, the "extra" advice is appreciated! I ordered the DVD this morning and will hopefully have it for the weekend. Once daylight savings ends, I will be limited to occasional play on weekends (damn work schedule) so this will come in handy. I also ordered a QJLS this morning, and am really...

    Noob, looking for some advice.

I haven't had a chance to try these... I was thinking of picking up an Avenger SS (in FLX, I love my FLX Buzzz) in that weight range, are these comparable? Is the hype behind the Avenger SS true, or is it more marketing? I know I still need to work on form and keep throwing my mids & slower...

    Noob, looking for some advice.

Thank you, jesus & bschommer. I think you guys have me on the right track, and have given me plenty to work on. I look forward to practicing more and will work on slowing things down and really look at what myself and others are doing. I have been trying to "give it all I've got" on each throw...

    Noob, looking for some advice.

Thank you, there is a lot of great info here... I'm an avid reader/lurker. They hook pretty hard, every now & then one will go straight. I have tried to keep them nose down, but they often gain too much height and stall out on me. Thanks for the tip, I have messed around with quite a few...

    Noob, looking for some advice.

Thank you for your response. I will stick with them, I am mainly also throwing the Cyclone & Status. I'm pretty much useless with the others.:p I realize my request for help is pretty lame without a video of me attempting to drive also, I will try and get one. I have been working on the drills...

    Noob, looking for some advice.

I just started playing a few weeks ago, and have been getting out every chance I get (3x a week). I throw RHBH & RHFH, with equal distance (200') but have no accuracy with FH, so I am working mainly on my BH (drives especially). My problem (or question) is, I can throw my midrange discs...

    86 softie

I'm just getting back into the sport, and struggling with putting. I recently put my 86 softie in my kids bag, and stole their magnet, putting issues solved! Save yourself $10 and a lot of frustration, don't do it.
