Thanks Teemkey and Roggenb3 for your responses. I have difficulty wrapping my head around how any local etiquette could ever preempt the rule book in a tournament setting, but whatever. Order of play is not that big a deal. This is just an annoyance more than anything.
I have an order of play question. I was always under the impression that, after the first hole, tee off order is determined solely by score; lowest score going first. In case of a tie, order is determined by scores on earlier holes. Right? That seems to be the gist of rule #801.05 B. Well...
Looking for Blizzard Vulcans at 130g or less. Didn't see any on your site. Any idea if/when you might get some? Also, will you be carrying the new bags from Fossa anytime soon? Thanks.
I'm looking for the following MVP discs in proton plastic, around 165g and in these specific colors:
Anode = Dark blue
Ion = Clear, yellow or smoke
Vector = Clear, yellow or smoke
Make me an offer if you've got some for sale. Thanks! :-)
You're right, and I wasn't trying to criticize your write-up. Just responding to Mashnut's use of your quote, and trying to explain where your analysis and mine agree and differ.
I too am not an expert, but I know what I know. People talk about increasing spin because spin generates lift, and keeps disc flying longer as long as they don't fade out. And part of that is high speed turn counteracting fade to keep discs flying longer. Spin causes lift because it generates a...
Regarding Morefadeplz's comments: He does not have it exactly right. He is saying that lift causes flip, but he is referring to lift acting on on the "nose" of the disc. In actuality, this would cause the nose to come up, which would cause the disc to rise vertically, and also slow down. This is...
I'd have to disagree with that. The gyroscopic effect of a spinning disc helps maintain angular momentum. MVP makes a big deal about this in promoting their discs, and how they have an increased moment of inertia as compared with other discs on the market; which promotes spin and helps them...
The escape is a moderately overstable disc, as you had thought. But moderately overstable isn't the best for fighting wind. It's better for a hyzer flip. That's what I get out of my Teebird, and it's 42% overstable, according to inFlight Guide, which puts your Escape at 25% overstable. InFlight...
