Critters on the course you ran into...

Last year, I was playing a short par 3 and I noticed a bunch of geese gathered to the left of the basket as I threw my tee shot. There were a bunch of teenagers sitting on a blanket to the right of the fairway, about halfway to the basket. The geese seemed a little unsettled as I putted out...

Review by mike3216 in course Lake Marshall - The Lions

5.00 star(s) Great, Challenging Course. Great People Too! I recommend this course highly. That being said, it is a little out of my league. I am a 55 yo player who has been playing five years. My max drive is about 300', and I have some ability to shape shots. There are a couple of water carries that I...

Where are they now: Ragna Bygde version

It sounds like a nice place. My Mom's family is from Michigan, but I have been there only once.

Where are they now: Ragna Bygde version

I can't imagine tour life is appealing to anyone over the age of 25, unless you're raking it in, which pretty much doesn't happen in DG. If she had played at the same level in the LPGA tour, it would be a different story entirely.

Where are they now: Ragna Bygde version

It's hard to imagine disc golf in anyone's career plan, outside of maybe three women and ten men. I'm more surprised at the Sweden/Michigan move. Such a culture shock.

Where are they now: Ragna Bygde version

I always wondered what became of Ragna Bygde. Solid player, European Championship, three Swedish Championships. She just came up on my LinkedIn account as a 3rd contact (as in, I'm connected to people she's connected to, twice separated). She is a Teller Supervisor at a bank in Kalamazoo...

I guess this is what getting better looks like....

What you said. Although I aspire to throw farther, in the end, I want to maximize what I do best.

Man, I would love to be able to throw like that...........

I guess this is what getting better looks like....

Lots of good advice here, thanks. I have done quite a bit of field work, but there is something I am missing on the drive. Distance has not come easily, despite the fact that I am tall and have a big wingspan. I can throw a standing forehand from an open stance to get out of trouble, but I...

I guess this is what getting better looks like....

Your better score is an indication of your potential. Maybe you should start thinking that perhaps they aren't so much "better" but simply more consistent. At least with the friend I play with the most, it is the opposite. He has 100 feet on me on the drive, so when he is firing on all...

I'm jealous that you have a FH. I haven't figured that out yet. The absence of a FH has definitely made me develop turnover shots, though....

I guess this is what getting better looks like....

I picked up the game at 50, and started playing rounds regularly at 52. I'm 54 now, and I'm not where I thought I'd be at this point, but I think I'm moving forward. Two years ago, I was maxing out at 300', and I figured I would be throwing 400' by now, but not even close. 330-340' is about...

    Black Friday Goodness

Okay, I don't participate in Black Friday Silliness. Getting up early and jostling around for position like a sheep headed to the slaughter is not my thing. Yesterday, I played an early round, and afterward, I stopped at PIAS to rummage through their factory seconds. As I was going through...

    Keen: Great fit, but.........

It's hard to tell. I had the mistaken impression that they were made in the USA, but a closer look at these showed they were made in Thailand. Quality control is hard to exercise when your manufacturing is done on the other side of the earth, and there is a language barrier.
