I've never noticed an OAT problem with my BH, but I'm pretty sure I have a huge OAT problem with my forehand. I only use my FH to throw for distance on open holes because I don't have a lot of control with it, but it definetly has a good 50 feet on my BH.
I started out using teebirds and did...
No, I said I wouldn't join a country club devoted to disc golf until I got out of college. From what I know (which is very little) country club fees are rather steep.
As for your priorities, I never said they weren't fine. You were the one that said it would take all your cig and beer money to...
Sounds like someone would need to take a look at his priorities if this happened. Beer and cigs? or disc golf? Hmm.
Anyways. I would still play as much assuming the price was reasonable and the courses were well taken care of. I'd even buy year passes (or lifetime?!) if they were offered at the...
Ball golfers also have a lot more put into ball golf. If I got interested in ball golf and went out and spent the money for clubs, balls, maybe a course membership, I wouldn't give up as easy either. Plus its a more out there sport that people are more willing to try. I have friends that I can't...
I agree with the Gold Close Range Par (see link in quote). They just need to be accepted by some organization. Although, I also think that 'rec' par serves the purpose of keeping people interested. I know plenty of people that would quit playing if they were trying to compare themselves to a...
Neither have I.
I think the the main reason there is still such a large number of people that do not use rec par is that there is no standardized method of assigning pars on holes. I have no idea how ball golf does it but the closest I've seen to attempting a standardization is the PDGA's SSA...
Might've seen this already, but here is a pretty good place to get some information.

They talk about thumb position about a 1/4th of the way down. I personally use the thumb neutral position with power grip version 2...
I started playing in early May with a DX Cobra my friend had found with no ink. A week later I bought a DX Teebird and a Pro D Banger GT. Feels like I'll playing for a long time :).
I'd have to agree with JS only adding that unusual course obstacles could add a stroke to par on holes under 750. I personally haven't played any, but I could see longer holes having forced lay ups.
My home course has a rec par of 68, but its concievable to comfortably deuce all but 1 or 2...
Okay, Wow... I realize this is supposed to be about disc golf, but I've never seen anything on the internet with quality like that (not an avid video watcher).
They meantioned something about the ace race discs in another thread. The website they gave that has the listings says that the 2006 ace race disc is a Meteor.
I am not a member of my local club mainly because I just started playing in early May and I'm a college student who couldn't really be an active part of the club. There are plans to build a course in my town (as of right now, the nearest course is 20-30 minutes away). So maybe once it is done...
