This is a fun league to play in. Source: I'm in it.
To get an idea of skill level, I usually shoot around +2 at Bryant Lake and Acorn, give or take a couple, and I'm in the top 6 at least.
Points favor participation highly, but skilled players who also participate a lot will be at the top of...
According to the PDGA book, the Wraith's max weight is 175.1. And yet somehow I own an old Star Wraith clearly marked 182.
Illegal? Or is my disc which I have aptly named Dancing Queen (for its spectacular but always beneficial abrupt movement in the wind) just too awesome for the rule book?
I'm surprised no one has said Diamond X yet. It's quite the opposite of all the green and blue courses we've seen listed so far, but very beautiful in its own rugged way.
When I was honeymooning in Tahoe, I really enjoyed Bijou. Nice woods and prarie mix with the mountains in the background...

Disappointing
Many unique holes. Every hole is different from the last. Uphill, downhill, forest, open, water, etc. Great pin placement makes approaches very important. A less than perfect shot will result in a more difficult putt than usual. I enjoyed each individual hole very much.
Great...
Just got back from Oakwood where I got my second ever ace!
Hole 9, 185 ft slightly downhill with scattered trees all around. Threw the Roc a little to the right down the window and knew it was going to drift in a second after letting it go.
Not a distance to write home about, but I just had...
My favorite is Oakwood, then North Valley and Acorn. I just enjoy playing them the most for the variety of holes and the overall flavor. They're not the nicest courses though. That'd be BRP and Bryant Lake.

It just feels right
-Very beautiful park. Hundreds of mature trees scattered around the entire park give the place a very comfortable and cozy feeling.
-Signs at every teebox.
-Most holes have 2 or 3 pin placements.
-Cement teeboxes.
-Good use of elevation and especially trees to make some...
The approach discs are going to turn over if you throw them hard. You gotta put a little hyzer on them if you try and bomb them. Same with some drivers. Hyzer flip them for some nice distance.
That said, Huk Finn is right too. Without enough snap sidearm shots will tend to dive left.
I can't believe only 3 or 4 people threw sidearm here! You'd think after watching 10 RHBH shots fail miserably you wouldn't throw the same shot thinking it would magically work this time.
Are most people incapable of throwing RHFH? Too bad, cuz a low sidearm, little bit of hyzer, and...
The main reason I don't want to see DG get huge? I don't like to wait. More players=busier courses=me waiting more.
Take my home course, Acorn Park, for example. Eight years ago you could go at any time, except maybe Saturday afternoon, and never have to wait at any hole. Three years ago...
Keep in mind this poll accounts for just us. Factoring all the other people on the course that don't post on this forum, I'm gonna guess that there's a lot more people in #1 and #5 than you'll see represented here.
