McClatchy park in Sacramento is great for night golf. A bit of a rough neighborhood, I'd just suggest playing with others. You don't need glow discs, there is enough light from the lamps. Their club does a monthly night golf tourney every full moon...You can find their group on Facebook, Capital...

Discin' in Centro America
Extremely well-manicured private course with caretakers on site. Great mix of native foliage and newly-planted citrus trees that will provide even more difficulty and routes as they grow. Cement tees and benches on all 19 holes, very easy to find the next hole. Design...
Ya I think that's what I'm confused about, the most recent rounds being double weighted? None of my rounds were 100 points below my rating. Reason I'm asking, is because two TD's didn't turn in the paperwork in time
Can anyone give a quick tip/lesson on how to calculate your rating? I know it's supposed to include the rounds from the last year, but how to calculate/average it? I have more than 8 rounds in the last year...
Well today Scott stood up Chico State disc golf club and the event they scheduled today. It was supposed to be a clinic for adapted physical education and the coordinator couldn't get in touch with him the last 4 days. Disappointing to say the least...

Same Question as Mike
If you lived in Chico, you could play Peregrine Point, Lava Creek, Oroville, Black Butte in 30 mins or less. From downtown Sacramento, you could play Orangevale or Rocklin in less than 30 mins. No other full length 18 hole courses.
Chico over Sac!
I've lived and played disc in both cities. Living in Sacramento is much worse than Chico for disc. Rocklin is meh, Auburn meh. Shady is awesome, the only reason I can live in Sacramento and still satisfy my disc golf urge. Chico gives you a much larger variety of courses, and no...
Chico?
Lava Creek in Paradise is better than anything else near Chico. I'd say the best place to live and be close to TONS of disc golf is either Tahoe or Southern California. Too many good ones to list in LA area. Tahoe is like a disc golf mecca with how many courses are within an hour drive...

Tons of Potential!
No two holes play the same way
Tight but fair lines. Definitely forces you to be creative and keep your shots on line.
Challenging greens-
Good use of elevation, both extreme uphill and downhill
Awesome outdoors, you likely will be the only group on the course.

Love the beast
1x Barry Schultz Beasts were the best run made. The earlier the better, super pearly discs. They last for years and they are consistent.
Peregrine is a fantastic course, but it's not in the same category as most of the courses on this list. It's a must play if you are in the area because of the views and terrain. De La and Stafford Lake are the cream of the crop, with many of the Tahoe courses just behind.
