Alright. Thanks to everyone for their advice.
The reasoning behind me asking what Innova discs were best for these type of shots:
1) Innova seems to be the most popular brand, therefore finding the right disc may be easier than another brand that I am not familiar with.
Since it has a good glide rating, I use the Aero anytime that I want I float my disc near the basket and have a chance of hitting the putt. Otherwise, I use my Aviar.
Thanks a bunch.
Yeah, I wasn't sure which attribute it was that caused the disc to turn over better. I see that the Firebird is a distance disc. what would you recommend as far as it goes for mid-ranges?
Looking for some advice here:
Lately, I've found myself having to use the hammer/tomahawk/pancake throw (whatever you want to call it) to recover from a bad lie. More often than not, my disc hasn't turned over flat and skidded like I want it to. If someone could advise me on whether this is a...
I used to have a similar problem of when I would flick my wrist too fast, my disc would get great distance, but immediately start turning left, leaving my forehand very unpredictable and hard to work with in tight alleys. It took me awhile, but I realized that I needed to follow through more...
If you think about it, if someone got hit in the temple or neck/throat area with one of those discs, they could he seriously injured. Disc golfers are probably the wrong people to mess with.
Yeah, thats exactly why its great to be able to throw both effectively. One of my friends always throws the disc so that it banks to the side and hes always able to play around patches of trees and stuff. It would be nice if I could do this too while still throwing the disc a considerable...
The first driver I bought was a Champion Valkyrie and loved playing with it. Several rounds later, I found a Champion Beast and never caught on to playing with it. When I wanted a speed upgrade, I went with the Groove instead of the Boss because of the Groove's rounded rim that was similar to...
Same here. I just invested in a Champion Groove, hoping to add some distance to my drives from the Valkyrie. I always wonder how the other brands play, but I just trust Innova discs so much that I never can force myself to buy another brand. Sometimes when I can see and feel a disc in person...
Yeah, definately stick with it and keep trying. Like someone mentioned, practice keeping your arm still and just flick the disc with your wrist. Then, try adding some arm motion, but still flicking the disc with your wrist like you did before. This is the key to getting your disc to travel...

Love it
Nice variety of elevation and tree coverage. After Virginia Tech's "Big Event" in 2009, all holes have either mulch or stones at the tees, making it much easier to tee off. Also, mulch at the pin on most holes
Very wooded. Some holes don't allow you very much room to tee off from (or...

Questionable Course
Very well-kept since it is on a par 3 golf course. Also, very easy because of how wide open and short the holes are. Great for beginners
No specific spot marked where you should tee off from. When I played with my dad, we threw from the par 3 golf boxes. Once again, very...

My home course
Long concrete tees allow for a long run up if you'd like. Also, the blue (pro) tees are a thick rubber material that makes a nice tee. Multiple pin locations make the course fun to play over and over again. Good variety too, with some long open fairways, and some wooded, sloped...
I use a laptop bag. The side closest to you when wearing the shoulder strap can be left unzipped when playing and you don't lose anything, but discs, towels, etc are still accessible. I'd say I like a messenger bag better than a backpack because you can still throw while wearing it and you don't...
