[Question] ID a disc or ask "What is the story on this disc...?" - Take II

That Z Comet was from the 2002 DGLO. They vary from quite gummy to sort of X-plastic stiff. That type of Z is pretty rare and I don't know too many others that feel like it. I'm pretty sure that Super Puppy is from the "original" timeline. I never saw that stamp on a re-production, and I have...

    [Discraft] New CT(Crazy Tough) Challenger

History lesson: There are two runs of the original Cam Todd Challengers. The 1st is the "National Tour" run. Identical looking stamp to the Ledgestones just different wording. 2nd runs are the "Signature" run. Just Cam's sig off-center. Now there is the Legestone CT run. 1st runs are the...

    [Wanted] Z Venom

I have two white/clear. Easily dyed up if you wish.

    Creating artificial obstacle/trees ?

I always thought a cool tourney-make the hole tougher for the day idea would be some of those promotional flag-banner type things. Especially tall ones like they use at surfing comps. It would be really cool if they were placed into large pipes in the ground so they could swivel with the wind.

Help for a 50 year old noob

All the throwing advice has been great. Now, onto shoes. Wear whatever makes you comfortable for now. But in contrast to an earliercpost, disc golf shoes ARE unique. Most are a cross-training type shoe with a more aggressive hiking style sole. A lot of the higher-priced have waterproofing...

    question about driving with putters

Another tip is go out with a friend and play catch with that putter! You'll get more throws in and have a point to aim at. If the putter is uncomfortable to catch (always try to catch with your "off" hand) just knock it down.

    Most unpopular/uncommon disc you throw?

Super Puppy! Look it up, ancient history.

    Illianasconsinigan Members (Part III)

It is a full 18 now. Only 5 of the original holes left (2, 5-8). 1 is shorter. Everything else is new. The overall "feel" hasn't really changed, only 2 holes in the 400' range but it should be able to handle all the kids come next year. Plenty of room for long tees. And if you want more of a...

    Winter DG Shoes

I've had great luck with Merrell Thermo 6's. Mean grip on the soles, super toasty and the rubber outers keep 'em waterproof even if the Gore-Tex fails.

Live interview with Pro Disc Golfer Johne McCray-Oct. 16th

It may be a bit too soon but... Now that you've had time to process it, would you play #17 @ USDGC during the final round any differently?

[Selling] Snap on clips for your Grip EQ (and other) bags

Still selling/making these bad-a** add-ons? I need a pair for my new Salient Helix. It really needs a high towel clip. Thanks and PM coming as well.

    Recycling Discs?!

Dave Dunipace has said it really isn't possible to make a good new disc out of old plastic. Echo Star is made from defects and scraps. I usually get mad enough when one of my babies cracks that it's in many more pieces by the time it gets to the trash can. I guess if I brought one home, I'd...

2014 United States Disc Golf Championship

Right. I know winning the Japan Open and having to play off for the World Championships is a sure sign of struggling.

looking for suggestions- DG party in Chicagoland

Trinity Links in Lockport is definitely the place to go. It is a private land course where your "activitties" are allowed. The course belongs to the mental rehab center NOT the church across the stret. It is also quite challenging and a good time. Anywhere else you could "technically" get in...

    How to get loose?

Everyone has good points so far. During a round, and especially when facing a backup, I try to keep moving around a little bit. I also take the biggest towel I have and go through the driving motion. The larger towel provides some wind resistance.
