Review by Urbanator in course UW-BC Campus Greens

4.00 star(s) Nice long course The course is wide open and long for the most part but there are some respectable obstacles on many holes. The holes are as interesting as they can be considering the setting. There is a great mix of par 3s, 4s and 5s, so you'll use a lot of different discs and different shots...

Review by Urbanator in course Vaughn Monson Memorial

3.50 star(s) Tiny town, great course Plenty of birdies and aces to be had, but the holes are not without challenges. There's trees, some baskets tucked into thick woods, low ceilings, etc. Varied shot selection. Plays fast. Easy to find and navigate. Wind not usually a big factor. Well-maintained. Easy to...

    Cement for tee pads

I'm trying to get tee pads installed at my home course. Questions: How much cement is needed per pad (4 ft X 8 ft) in 60-pound bags? Are store-bought Quickrete bags feasible or should I try to get bulk cement? How much will it cost per pad? Any insights appreciated.

    Going in the water

Water trips are worth it I once went into water in Wisconsin in late October after a new Sidewinder. Instead found three beater discs. One was a Cobra I got some good use out of. It was about 40 degrees and I definitely felt a little strange after 10-15 mins in the water up to my neck. Water is...

Z Buzzz. Only other double is a T-bone, of which I have three. Stocking up in case they're never made again.

Review by Urbanator in course Comet DGC

3.00 star(s) Summer not fun Both field and forest holes. Varied with short and long tee options. Fun holes and basket placements. Varied distance in field area and different fairway shapes in the woods. Two true downhill shots and three uphill. Nothing repetitive or clique as far design goes. Basket #9 is...

Review by Urbanator in course Rockmans Woods DGC

2.50 star(s) New and not bad Easy to navigate. Varied holes in general. Elevation used nicely. Generous fairways on most holes. Power and accuracy needed for birdies. Basket nine and tee one are right next to each other, which could also be a problem. Pavement and chain link fence in play in several spots...

Review by Urbanator in course Spooner DGC

3.00 star(s) If you don't mind bugs Good use of elevation and good basket locations. Nice-looking course. All holes are straight shots with moderate distance. Every holes has a little different look. Tee boxes are good. The fairways are narrow and surrounded by thickets and tall grass so it's easy to loose...

Review by Urbanator in course Justin Trails - Big Brother DGC

4.50 star(s) Impressive Big Brother is just plain impressive in every way. The scenery, the design, the distance, the difficulty. The downhill throws were super fun. I chained a shot from 400+ feet. So cool. The hills make the course, great views and scenery. It almost feels alpine. Loved walking through the...
