Well looks like I missed this message. So Seven years later... The trip was a blast and one of the best ever. Camden II remains one of the best courses I've ever played. I love a good ravine and I need to get back soon. West Lake Park was amazing, but quite a bit beyond my skill level and...

You make me feel like like saying foxy...
The silver fox is a fine contrast to other nearby foxes. Combined they make a fine day or weekend of disc golf. In SF there are some great long fairways that have been carved out of the rocky wooded hills and some challenging shorties to keep you on...
I'm interested in the saga of Highbridge Hills. I went there once long ago and had a strange journey into the depths of the soul. I started a discussion in the forums that has turned into its own epic tale. Someday I hope to return to a glorious disc golf course and will help in any way I can.

Like the mighty Phoenix the Bevier course has returned from the dead.
This old course has had a few manifestations during my short disc golf career, but let's let go of the past and concentrate on the here and now. The first five holes are fairly wide open with slight variations in approach...
5 Years Gone
Holy cats! Five years ago I was a rookie chucker asking questions about the "legendary" HighBridge and it's lofty rankings on the DGCR. How was I to know this was a slowly unfolding saga full of hope and tragedy? I suppose such tales might be common in the history of privately...
There was a peculiar weirdness in the air. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe it was the northern lights? Maybe it was the haunted go karts? Maybe the place is on an Indi- (oops) Native burial ground? Maybe it was the shifty people looking for... something. Maybe it's Maybelline.
The Canyons of Lockport is truly a magical course. All kinds of good fun and definitely one of the best in Chicagoland. How does one rank the Canyons in a list of Fairfield, Grey/Silver Fox, Lemon Lake, Sinnisippi, Dretzka?
I'm coming out to the Quad Cities (Davenport) May 1st for a couple of days with one of my homeboys. Which courses are the best near there? What else must be done when visiting the area? We'll be camping out near Wildcat but may need to ride into town to get silly one time. What is memorable?

In a van down by the river
The air is clean and warm. Delicate songs of the desert birds provide a nice contrast to the rooster farm just west. Also the ground squirrels running madly about are a nice touch. I think they were laughing at my putting attempts from their holes.
This seems like...
The mosquitoes were plentiful. It's just a rough spring as many have said. That is no excuse for not picking up the trash though. They just need to empty the buckets for starters.
