I like to decrease moving parts personally. When I am stepping up to the tee pad and lining up my shot I like to lock my hand, wrist, and elbow in the way that they are supposed to be aligned at the top of the back-swing (reach-back). I keep these joints "locked" all the way to the top of the...
I had the same question (kinda of). I can throw closer to 400' and want to know what Trilogy disc would be a faster (not more OS) Culverin. FYI, I have a Trespass and it is not OS enough to fill this slot for me.
4.00 star(s)
Great variety (tight technical to open placement shots)
Fun technical shots
Multiple backet locations
Signature hole 12 is beautiful
Good sized tee pads
Benches installed
Secluded feeling in the woods
Think brush in the summer with thorns
Extra tight fairways when trees and plants are full bloom...
Best advice given is to not ask questions here, lol
But thanks to the people who actually had good constructive input, your the ones that I wouldn't mind seeing on the course.
It is a perfectly fine analogy. You know that their are coaches for the mental aspects of sports right? People write books and have podcasts about the difficulties of the mental aspects of sports. Just because it is not an issue to you and you are good at the mental game, doesn't mean that...
Some people are distracted by music, or people standing in their cone of vision, or background noise... I am simply distracted by people watching (period).
Most people have taken this thread in the wrong direction, this is not an issue of social fear, but an issue of what distracts a person. I...
I guess everywhere I have played ball golf has been packed and passing would not do anyone any good. Never seen a single playing ball golf, courses around me are always groups of 4, sometimes 5...
It is funny that you bring up ball golf, because that was part of my reason for asking the question. In ball golf passing is not really a thing and groups are always waiting on one another.
I don't mind the responses saying that it is best etiquette to play through, that is what I was asking. I was just saying the comments telling me to stay off the course or simply "man up" and such were not needed.
I appreciate most of the feedback I have gotten.
Exactly. If someone asks some of you people how they can improve their disc golf form, do you say "no one cares, just man up and throw better"... no, no one says that, but that is essentially what you are saying.
And to all of "you people"... Don't think that I care what you think of my throw...
Exactly my thoughts.
Thanks to everyone who actually provided good input. I think the biggest thing is just trying to become as comfortable with it as possible even though I prefer rounds between only the course and I (unless I can drag my actual friends out to the course).
True, I guess I never thought about it like that. But what stinks is when you pass a group, but the next group ahead of you is slow and you end up sitting at the next teepad with the group you just passed! LOL. This has happened to me as well.
I know that my mental game needs work, it has always been the weakest part of my game in all sports/activities. I am probably one of the worst mentally. I do like the idea of just skipping the hole, because I too don't want people waiting on me while I play out the hole.
I always do play through, but usually end up throwing horribly, lol.
And I am always trying to improve my mentality about things like this, it is not like I want to hate playing in front of people it's just how I naturally am.... One could say socially awkward about things like this... :\
I actually did have my best drive ever on a particular hole when I was playing through this weekend. But that is rare. I guess my mental game is a lot worse than most people, or some don't even understand how difficult the mental aspect is for me. It has always been my worst attribute, and...
 thanks for the tips. Slowing down is not an issue for me as usually I am not trying to play fast, I just end up doing so. Throwing multiple shots is a good idea as it would help me get more practice in as well.
