Hi everybody!
I took a few minutes today to lay out my own version of the 1025 disc golf game in the back yard. I used an in-step basket and (most of) a can of spray paint to mark each distance.
The game includes 6 putts from each incremental 5' distance from 10'-35'... and I set up the triangle configuration as recommended. By doing so, I definitely had significant elevation, sun, and wind variance between stations.
Here are my results from my first game: 415 points, out of a possible 1025 (hence the name of the game!)
The nitty-gritty detail: I made all 6 from 10', 4 from 15' (really?!?!), 3 from 20', 4 from 25', 2 from 30' and 1 from 35'... I made 4 "first" putts, and 3 "last" putts.
Overall, the game took about 15 minutes, and I plan on playing more in the coming days. Hopefully posting my scores publicly here will help hold me accountable to some amount of improvement, or at least shame me if some of you post your results.
Even with only one game under my belt, two spit outs from 15' and only 50% from 20' were a couple of glaring parts of my game that I need to improve on.
