2013 Pro Worlds at Lemon Lake

Where's all the chatter about Pro Worlds? And where are all the players?

I played in my first Pro Worlds last year and I remember having to reg super early to guarantee my spot in Masters, but it looks like I could probably reg the week of Worlds if I wanted to play this year. Is there something going on in the background that I'm missing here?

Are maps needed to avoid getting lost with the new layouts? The link on the Red Roc page doesn't work.

On the white, yes. You can get one at the gate or in the pro shop. I would wait on playing White until closer to the tournament (or after), unless you need/want Worlds practice. I missed a few holes and I think one of the holes didn't have a basket in yet.

Can't comment on Red, as I haven't played it since they changed Open to not playing it. Blue, it would probably help, but its pretty easy to navigate and the changes aren't too bad. Gold is same ol, except for playing to 3's silver basket and playing from 13's silver tee.

Cool, thanks for the info!

I definitely won't be playing Pro Worlds, LOL!!!!!! Need to add about 150 point to my rating first. :|

Any clue on the final schedule? The Draft v1.3 of the printable course schedule shows field events on Saturday the 3rd. Red Roc official worlds website says Monday the 5th. (linked from worlds registration page)

I'm going to be bummed, and hopefully get my money back if it's been moved to Saturday. I can't get into town until Monday.

Blue is easy to navigate as long as you know there are two new holes after 7. We didn't find out about those until we were playing hole 13 wondering where we missed two holes.

I'd love to see some old schooler win like Rico, or Brinster.
Will be interesting to see how McCabe shoots going back to place of his Championship. Can't think of someone getting the chance on roughly the same track before.

'94-'95 were played back to back at the same place; Port Arthur, Texas. Climo won both times. :p

(i know, i quoted myself, but just to inform others, since I got my answer)

So now the Red Roc site is showing Field Events are Saturday as well. I also spoke with a guy at the PDGA who said it has always been scheduled for Saturday. Super bummed out I don't get to compete, even checked the site right before registering to make sure I could do it.

Though in the scheme of things, not having to practice max D throws will help me focus on my shorter , normal accuracy shots instead of max D shots. Which will likely help me perform better at the actual tournament.

I'm excited for World's this year because I'll be there (watching not playing)! I have a couple specific questions having never been to a World's tourney before:
1) Will Lemon Lake be open to the public Saturday (August 03)? - I arrive the night before but want to play a few of the courses before World's begin,
2) Will the public still have to pay to get into the park each day to watch?,
3) What is Flymart? - is it free and open to the public to attend?
