I didn't know Brent, but apparently he ran extremely professional and well-thought-out tournaments. I imagine that takes perseverance. So, on that tenuous connection, we're going to retry the insurance thing from last week. I hope he would approve.
If you choose to pick before the…
first round starts, you can earn up to 100% of the potential points.
second round starts, you can earn up to 80% of the potential points.
third round starts, you can earn up to 60% of the potential points.
fourth round starts...actually never mind. This is a PREDICTION contest, after all.
The first round starts on Thursday, August 26th. "100 percenters," get your picks in before then.
For clarity, please state what option you are picking. Of course, we'll all be able to tell when predictions are made, but this should ensure we're on the same page.
MPO - Pick 4 players, with your predicted winner listed first (2 points for correct winner)
1st place - 8 points
2nd place - 6 points
3rd place - 4 points
4th place - 2 points
5th place - 1 points
FPO - Pick 2 players, with your predicted winner listed first (2 point for correct winner)
1st place - 4 points
2nd place - 2 points
3rd place - 1 points
Bonus 1 (2 points) - Predict the manufacturer with the most players finishing in the top 10 of MPO. The categories are: 1) Innova/Discmania; 2) Lat64/DD/Westside; 3) Prodigy; 4) Other (Discraft, Legacy, DGA, unsponsored, etc.).
Bonus 2 (2 or 3 points) - Who will shoot the highest rated round of the tournament? The choices are McBeth, Wysocki, or other. If you correctly guess other, then you will earn an additional 1 point. For instance, if you pick Simon, but JohnE does it, then you still get 3 points.
Bonus 3 (1 + 1 points) - Which FPO sub-920 player will have the best tournament (1 point)? What place will the best FPO sub-920 player finish? (1 point)
Bonus 4 (2 points) - How many strokes under par will the MPO winner be by the end of the tournament?
Bonus 5 (2 points) - How many combined strokes under par will all of the Pro division winners be by the end of the tournament? For instance, if three division winners finish at -10, and three division winners finish at +5, then this would come out to: -10(x3) + 5(x3) = -15, 15 strokes under par.
May the Force be with you - unless you think it's Discrap.
