Here's the last of them. Hope they are helpful. And as for the one in the basket, well, last ace race, I went 0 aces, 1 metal, and even though it's not a real ace, I was proud of it:)

Thanks for all the pics Indy. I think I like what I see. Would you say it flies more like a mid or a driving putter? Could this be the understable complement to the zone that we've been waiting for?

Is that a minor bead or just a line in the mold?

Looks like a micro bead to me. Similar in size to a 1.5 mortar bead (though obviously the rest of the mold is quite different.)

The wing profile reminds me a bit of a Gremlin... but slower

It feels beadless... The picture surprised me because the "bead" is cosmetic aka a line in the mold. It feels like a mid in hand, like I said, it reminded me a lot of a mako3 in my hand. Held a decent hyzer line like a mako but one of my partners said it was not as predictable on an anny line as a mako. Again though, this is just data from the ace race where none of the baskets were far enough to really test drive its midrange capabilities.

I don't really know what makes a putter a driving putter:(
I drive with a zone more so than my roach or challenger, but I'm loathe to do it because generally the holes that would call for it are wooded holes and I try to avoid smacking trees with my jawbreaker and pro-d putters. I can throw my DD verdict a lot like my zone but it's in a more durable lucid plastic.

I wonder if it's their replacement for the Meteor. The Meteor is OOP, isn't it?

Has anything been said about the diameter?

Feels similar to a Buzzz/Buzzz SS/Meteor in size and the max weight was stickered at 177+ just like other Discraft midranges if that helps. Think somebody else posted 4/4/-2/1 earlier in this thread.

Seems like the black ones ended up being the most stable of the bunch. Ended up with a Blue one and Black one and used them both depending on how the tees were set up. Preferred the Blue one for the shorter shots as it powered down nice and was quite controllable.

Zone SS PLEEEEASE

I was out of town and didn't get a chance to really throw and play with the discs til today. My thought today was, hmmm, this feels like a zone in hand but flies straighter and easier like an understable disc would.
It's more domey than a zone-but everything except my DD Verdict fits that description- it is pretty much the same diameter as the zone. In the pictures, the zone is green and the ace race disc is pink.

I personally love this new disc.

I sounds like the SS Morter but had to be faster to get the Under Stable defined more out of the disc. I hope it just is the SS Morter, Discraft needs a SS Morter that is not as Straight as a Roach, more like a Banger/Challenger type of OS even though the disc is SS but not as slow as a putter. If not that, a Hawk in premium more durable plastic.

I like the disc personally, its a great flier. Flies like a faster, more US comet. Feels more like my buzzz than a comet though (Buzzz SS?). Holds a nice smooth turn or hyzer flips to flat and straight.

Just finished our local AR. It's a relatively low speed, understable mid. I agree with those saying the profile/feel in the hand is similar to a Zone.

Flightwise, it is probably about the speed of a Comet, but more US. I got two inlavender that were labelled 173-174. They exhibit a tendency to turn when thrown much over 100 ft. It's about as understable, as a Zone is overstable.

The only way I could really make a run at baskets was with varying amounts of hyzer or on obvious annie lines. None of the holes at our event were much over 125 ft... if that.

These things are flippy. There's a place in my bag for flippy discs, but I dont see this mold being it. Not saying they're bad... they're just not for me.

A 2008 Nebula, 2016 Archer, and 2017 Sting are all permabagged.

If anyone's interested: I'd gladly trade these for Stings of pretty much any weight of 160+. One has about 40 throws on it, the other under 10.
