All discs the same weight or do you vary?

I read a lot of different thoughts and comments on weight. So my question is, do you carry different weights, or do you try to keep all discs in the same weight class?

Putters and Mids I like max weight, overstable/stable drivers 165-170, understable drivers 170-174.

I have more consistency using them that way.

Generally, for me:

Putters (Rhynos)
= max wt

Mids (Buzz, Wasp, Drone, beat Cobra)
= 170-max (I like knowing I can throw hard and not have them turn over)

Understable drivers (RR, Sidewinder) = 175

Stable/Overstable (Nuke, Destroyer) = 160-167

I also like to to carry various weights of TL's and Wraiths, with the Wraiths also in different plastic. I find I get slightly different flights from different weights.

Everything 170 and up. If i use less weight for overstable stuff, that defeats the purpose because the heavier weight is more resistant to wind and diving left, which is what i ultimately want the disc to do.

must have putters at 175, mids 175 +, fairways i like max but drivers can go from 168-175 depending on there stability. if it's a new disc that i have never thrown before i'll always go with a 175 if possible to try it out at that weight and see how it goes from there. in the past i have tried throwing lighter weights but it seems to me the heavier the weight, the more consistent the flight

Mixed. One heavier and one lighter of Wizards and Buzz's, drivers I tend to like around 170g.

I like to carry a lighter putter for putting (170-172) and a heavier one for drives and approaches (179).

I like carrying two Buzz's, one beat FLX 167 for turnovers and bad weather use, and one Z 175-177 for general purpose hyzer drives and short range FH rollers.

One Stalker, 171g. One Pred, 164g (I find it fights headwinds just fine, and gets a little extra carry on thumbers). One Orc, 171g.

I find for most molds, going down to 170g gives me extra glide without sacrificing much stability. It's very rare I find a max weight driver I like as much as a 170g driver of the same mold, even if it's a fairway driver I can easily turnover.

well i have 3 destroyers (175,167,159) 2 monarchs (175,165) 2 FL's (175,164) and 2 makos (180,173) i also plan on getting another mako at 165. if i have a single type of disc it is usually above 170. so pretty much what im saying is if i like a disc i will get it in multiple weights to account for wind and such. high wind = heavier disc. no wind/tail wind = lighter disc for maxium distance.

My bag ranges from 170 - 180

2 Distance Drivers 170 & 170

3 Fairway Drivers 171, 172 & 172

3 Midrange 175, 180 & 180

2 Putters 172 & 175

My discs are all close in weight for a given "type". My true putters are 169-170. My driving/approaching/upshot putters are 174-175, my mids are 177 to 180, fairways are 172 to 175, and high speed drivers are 167-169. Speed 9 drivers I like at 170-172, though I'm only carrying a Firebird right now.

My thought is that this weight consistency helps with my release and snap consistency.

I like three different weights for putters, max weight for drives, ~170-172 for approaches and 165-168 for putts.

I carry max weight for mids, but I know that for how far I throw them I'd get slightly better results by dropping down to ~175. I'm too optimistic that I'll improve to where I'd want heavier mids. ;)

Most of my drivers are 168-172. I get the best distance without sacrificing control.

Putters - 175
Mids - 170 - 176
BH drivers - 165-168
FH drivers - 170-175

It probably really doesn't matter to me as long as my BH drivers are light enough for my noodle arm to throw.

Putters and Mids - Max weight
Everything else 150 except a few discs that only go as low as 166-168.
