i have been playing disc golf for years now and i decided to go out for my HS track team this year and it amazes me that i now realized this..

wouldnt shot put and discus shoes be perfect for discgolf?

Just think throwers in track are on cement like a teepad. and the feet movement for a discus throwe can be compared to a disc golf player! just an idea but i think it would work does anyone use these shoes or am i the only one whos thought of this

What are those shoes like? Are they very light?

I prefer very rugged shoes that can handle the varied terrain found on a course. A tee shot on a nice concrete pad may have very similar footwork to shotput or dicsuss, but I've never seen those guys try to throw out of a pile of bushes on a rocky hillside...

They look like they would be good on the teepad, but bad for everywhere else with no traction.

My right hiking shoes look like that after a month anyway. Maybe worth a try for park courses.
