I fondled one MVP Soft disc once for a bit and it felt pretty nice, not floppy at all but flexible and pretty nice grip.I'm sure that this has been answered before, but I'm wondering what the "soft" plastic feels like in hand. As someone who only has the neutron plastic, and haven't tried the MVP/Axiom putters, how soft is soft? And possibly a comparison to a different plastic? I'm looking to get an envy, but I don't really have the opportunity to pick up the different plastics in hand, unfortunately.
Axis feels great in my hand, so a similar feeling disc with more stability sounds like a perfect fit. Tensor would be nice too, but as a disc minimalist I think Resistor or OS Fairway driver will do those things.^^ Vector for sure. It's a good bit longer than the Envy, and feels much like the Axis. The Axis/Vector were made to be a good pair. A fresh, heavy Vector should handle the wind nicely.
The Tensor is also a great overstable mid, but it's not quite as long as the Axis/Vector. I actually bag it instead of the Vector, and it's a must for throws that I need to fade.
Would you say that it's flexible in terms of say G*? Hopefully not like R-Pro, which I am not a fan of.I fondled one MVP Soft disc once for a bit and it felt pretty nice, not floppy at all but flexible and pretty nice grip.
I don't really remember the feel so well but maybe something like G*.Would you say that it's flexible in terms of say G*? Hopefully not like R-Pro, which I am not a fan of.
^^Depending on the courses you play, you can definitely just use a Resistor, or even a Shock for overstable duties. There's nothing wrong with powering up/down a fairway to do a mid's job.
Not sure if its been mentioned before, but i got to fondle an envy for the first time this weekend and it seemed really similar in profile to a Pa1, anyone agree?

Soft N feels a little bit more gummy to me. I like it a lot more than the soft protons.
Hoping that soft N production runs are on the MVP roadmap for the future though!
My experience has been that Soft P is more weather sensitive - softer in warm, stiffer in cold. It's going to be that way for all plastic to an extent, but I feel like Soft N retains it's characteristics better at extremes.
That being said, since there's no current Production runs of soft N, I actually use soft P Ions for putting in case I ever need/want to break in a new one.

Anyone notice this disc seems to go about as far as our mid ranges?
