The Lewisville Open will sure be different this year
What do y'all think about the Lewisville Open being trophy only for ALL Amateur divisions? I have a feeling DD is gonna lose a lot of players because of this...

Hi all - I'm heading down from Love Field to Waco on Wednesday, and I was looking at stopping somewhere in the Duncanville/Cedar Hill area for a round or two. Any suggestions regarding Crossroads of Life vs. Coyote or Beaver at Lorch?

I am going to keep this pretty short but want to get this addressed. We are always trying to improve the DD events and want them to be the best that they can be. We moved to player pack only in the recreational division a couple years ago and the response was very positive. After hosting a couple events that featured a "Win your card-Win a prize" we received positive reviews from the players. It often seemed more exciting for the players to be battling each round for that prize. It gives everyone a chance, at every round to win something.
To sum this up, we want to give this a try and see what the response is. We don't plan on making this the norm for the DD events.
-Each amateur player will receive a bonus players package
-Top finishers will receive additional payout. For example, 1-3 in MA1 and MA2 will still be receiving $100+ in merch.
-Four rounds of win your card-win a prize
-CTP's
-Ring of Fire
-Lunch provided on Saturday by Genghis Grill
-Player Party Saturday @ Dynamic Discs Lewisville with food and beverage provided
-No waiting around for an hour after the tournament to collect merchandise!
We think the positives outweigh the negatives in this format. Actually, we couldn't really even find many negatives. Everyone seems to win in this situation. This should provide for a more positive tournament experience. The top players still get rewarded as well!
oh yeah and crossroads is closed wed after 5pm.
Alright I have a question for you DFW-westsiders
I've never played a tournament before, and I'm pretty terrible. But I'd like to try out a mini. Do any of the minis in the Fort Worth-Arlington area have divisions, or are they all open?
