It's perfectly fine, I have sent him stuff before. It's only an additional 2 or so dollars.

It costs me almost $4 to send a disc to the states via regular mail but it usually takes longer usually. I thought it was about the same to send a disc to the north, but looking at the US postal site it looks like this is the cost to send a disc up to alberta:
