Ive been wanting to make a basket for awhile now... me and a couple friends have been building a small 9 hole course through the summer.. no baskets all tone poles, but i would rather make some baskets to make our course alittle more serious... my idea has been to use a 50 gallon drum for an easy top and bottom catch basket, I just havent followed through with it yet...

This is one of the Tone Poles we have made there basic PVC with a bell in the top letting you know whether or not you have hit the pole... The parts sh*tly colored yellow, are now actually yellow. This is the only picture I have of them unfortunately:(

My parents got me a basket off of ebay for Christmas a couple of years ago that seems to be exactly what you're talking about. I'll take a better picture of it and post it. It's what really got me into the game.

There are a couple pictures of it in the thread below, but they're not very close up. Check out posts #15 and #25.

It only has 12 outer chains but making your own would really open up your options. And just FYI, the slick sides and bottom of the basket area really contribute to a lot of spit-outs that wouldn't happen on a "cage" type basket.
