I need a new bag

GB,,The Silver Back is a way to go. The Chimp holds just as many discs but not the storage as the SB.
Thats about 14-16 discs.

Fade tourney bag or Fade Crunch Box. They are durable and functional. Best bang for your buck IMO.

For straps you can check amazon for carpenter's tool suspenders if you want the least expensive route.

I have a pair of those suspenders, yet,I personally use Phenix Quad Shocks and have had no problems with them.

The Fade Quad straps are comfortable and neat because of the rain fly that unzips and covers your bag when its raining. My brother has that and it works quite well.

Also been looking at bags.
Currently have the innova standard with insert.

Looking to upgrade.
Looking at the Innova tourney bag and the fade gear tourney bag. I like the fade gear one for price and disc company agnostic.

I looked at the fade gear but was concerned about the lack of separate disc inserts. Is this an issue getting them in and out of the bag?

revo dual is my choice, but I've had some fade bags as well. As Jax11 said, they're durable yet quite inexpensive. I'd go with a fade tourney and phoenix quads, you should be well under $100...

I'll plug the Innova Competition bag as well, it's been my bag for almost 2 years and held up quite well. Cost is $45-60 depending on where you get it.

As for the straps - I had the Innova straps and they worked well for 2 years. They tighten up a good ways which is a plus (I think I carry the bag higher on my back than most, I don't want lower back problems lol). I accidentally broke the clip (it was my fault, not a quality issue) and decided to try some DGA Gel Strapz - they are more cushioned on the shoulders but they don't tighten up as much, and worse they get loose during use. I thought it was just my pair but in talking to some other local golfers they had the same issue. I like the comfortable shoulder pads but hate having to contstantly re-tighten the straps. I wouldn't recommend unless you can get them at a discounted price.

All this - you'll get 20-22 discs out of the Tourney comfortably, Crunchbox will get you up to 15; its a bit cramped then... but its also what I usually carry. I personally love their design the best, or else I would have gotten a GB or Voodoo.

and just Plasti-Dip the bottom of either Fade bag to increase durability (and water-protection) 10fold

The only time I have a problem is when I jam it full of discs. I carry 20 discs comfortably in it and have no problems getting anything out or in. (Specifically 8 distance drivers, 5 fairway drivers, 5 mid-ranges, and 2 putters in the front pocket. You disc carrying potential gets a little lower if you carry a lot of mids and putters just because they are thicker.) Also, I have one of the edge dividers set about an inch and a half off the edge of the bag creating a little slot to keep a mini clipboard and other odds and ends.

I did have a little bit of hassle with a blunt putter in the Discraft X Putt'r. I carried it for upshots and it did not like the main compartment of the bag because it was really gummy and bendy. It fit fine in the front putter pocket though.

I have used it for about a year without the plasti-dip and it is still in good condition.
