List your top 5 favorite courses

I've probably posted in the past, but as we play new courses our favorites change, so...

1) Selah Ranch - Lakeside
2) Selah Ranch - Creekside
3) Austin Ridge Bible Church
4) Lake Claiborne State Park - Whitetail
5) Lindsay Park - Gold (Dogwood)

For those that travel to play disc golf, a week of Selah Ranch and Lake Claiborne State Park would be great. They're both in the south, so winter golf is there for you guys that want to get out of the snow. The cabins at Lake Claiborne are top notch and highly recommended. You can walk to the 13th tee on Whitetail and the ace run finish on 12 is a great way to finish a round.

November at Lake Claiborne is incredibly beautiful. Take your family. Playgrounds for the kids. Hiking for the family. Great disc golf for you. As you can probably tell, we had a great time on our "Disc Golf Weekend" there last week.

1) North Georgia Canopy Tours in Lula, GA.
2) Perkerson Park in Atlanta, GA.
3) Oregon Park in Marietta, GA.
4) Jackson at the IDGC in Appling, GA.
5) Mountain Cove in Chickamaunga, GA.

♪♫ one of these things is not like the other ♪♫ ;)

1. Flyboy
2. Brackett's Bluff
3. Stoney Hill
4. IDGC
5. NGCT

1a. Flyboy - the whole experience, as well as the original and Viper layouts, plus safari, gives it the nod
1b. The Crucible - probably better actual golf than Flyboy
3. Old Brackett's Bluff
4. Stoney Hill
5 Haywood Valley

I'm glad to see someone else who has played and loved Hillcrest on PEI. I need to update my top 5 list to include it.

In no particular order all of these are great:

1) Selah Ranch Talco TX
2) Frost Valley Claryville NY
3) Nantucket Nantucket MA
4) Hillcrest Prince Edward Island Canada
5) Maple Hill. Leicester MA

Maple Hill DGC
Järva Discgolf Park
Nockamixon

honorable mentions (no order):

I have't played Flip City in MI,Maple Hill in MA, or Idlewild in KY yet so take that into account when I do my list.

Only my top 2 are stand outs, the rest I could reorder in anyway and still feel good about it.

#6 Nevin Park- Charlotte NC
#7 IDGC Hendrick-Appling GA
#8 IDGC Warner-Appling GA
#9 Sandhills Hybrid Invitational Beast course-Whispering Pines NC
#10 RL Smith Park-Charlotte NC

I probably shouldn't participate in this, since I'm so geographically limited and so partial to more open courses...in alphabetical order:
Cedarock in Burlington, especially in the Red/Blue layout
Frank Liske Park in Concord
Johnson Street in High Point
The Patriot in Kernersville
Rolling Pines in Wilkesboro

It's about "favorites", not "bests", so your partiality is welcome here. No disclaimers needed.

Love this game. Here we go!

Shining Mountain - CO
Pessimist - CO
The Claytons - TN

Being from Atlantic Canada has its down side because of its distance away from major centers like Montreal(9hrs) or Boston (8hrs) however we do get to visit some great course in Maine which are close (4hrs). That said I'm 3hrs from one of the best courses in the world Hillcrest DGC in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Can not describe the planning that went into every hole and every tree left on the course. Designed by John Houck it is similar to W.R.Jackson at the IDGC which was carved out of the woods.

1. Hillcrest DGC
2. Maple Hill
3. Toronto Island
4. Waller Pines
5. Camp Fortune

In order ..

Discgolf Terminalen (Skelleftea Sweden)
Jones East (Emporia KS)
Jarva Discgolfpark (Stockholm Sweden)
Toronto Island (Toronto Canada)
Toboggan DGC (Milford MI)

1. Bill Frederick Park (Turkey Lake, Orlando, FL - T2, but I like both)
2. La Mirada (I guess back course if I had to choose)
3. Picnic Island DGC (I'd probably rank it higher if I had more skillz)
4. Dolese Youth Park (original layout)
5. Noble DGC

Just five is tough but as I'm feeling it at this moment and in no particular order...

Wildcat Bluff - Urbana, IA
Bohart Ranch Upper - Bozeman, MT
Riverbend DGC, Estacada, OR
Highbridge Hills Highbridge Gold, Highbridge, WI
Diamond X, Billings, MT

Could easily slide on and bump another off depending on my mood...

Highbridge Hills Blueberry Hill or Granite Ridge - Highbridge, WI
Dabney State Park - Troutdale, OR
Rollin' Ridge - Reedsville, WI
Blue Mountain - Missoula, MT
Big Horn Ridge - Big Sky, MT
Zobel Park - Green Lake, WI

Dabney? You've got to be f@cking kidding me. Dabney isn't even in my top five courses within 1 hour of my house. Obviously, the (several) beers we had before/with breakfast are clouding your recollection.

Valley View / Private Course in Indiana
This layout has everything I want in a disc golf course. It's secluded, tough, mix of elevations and angles, multi-shot holes, tight wooded lines and long bombs. Give me this on a crisp fall day.

The Hippodrome / North Augusta, SC
I have been able to attend four Collegiate Championships, and these likely will forever be my favorite disc golf tournament experiences. Because of this, these courses combined make my list. Crazy shots you won't see anywhere else.

Kensington Toboggan / Milford, MI
Another beast of a course, made even better by the Amateur Nationals experience surrounding it. Still haven't tamed this beast during a tournament round, which makes me respect it even more.

Rollin Ridge / Reedsville, WI
There's a reason these last two are in the top five on this site. So well cared for, an experience DGers cherish.

Blue Ribbon Pines / Minnesota
The Minneapolis DG scene is spoiled, and this is at the top of the heap for me.

If I could list a Top Ten:

RL Smith Park / Charlotte, NC
Not as famous as it's Charlotte Brethren, but on my disc golf trip to the Queen City, I found RL to be my favorite round.

Sioux Passage, St. Louis, MO
Perhaps the most beautiful course in the Midwest.

Charlotte's Web / Charlotte, NC
Probably the toughest course I've played in tournament conditions. Loved it.

Richmond Hill / Asheville, NC
Where I first learned to love the game.

Mars Hill College / Mars Hill, NC
Uses elevation in unique ways. Requires a total game here to score well. It doesn't get enough love.
