Marm O. discs

Hmm...I guess this is more evidence that it's impossible to create hard and fast rules for how ink/dye interact with given plastics...

Agreed; if we knew the exact blends they were using then we could figure it out. Fat chance of that happening!

Some more awesome drawings though!

Thank you kind sir! I'm stoked about the snake... for today at least. Tomorrow might be a different story. Do you ever get that?

Normally I get it opposite where I don't like it initially but a few days later start liking it more.

here's a rough sketch for a future project; can't wait to flesh it out
DX Aviar

I am on a mission to ink every disc in my bag; ink flies sweeter than stock foil :)
Since I always carry DX Aviars in pairs, here is the counterpart for the spider disc above. This time I drew all the way around the disc. I'll have to play with this concept some more later.
Again, quick 'n' durty was the name of the game here

You have some prodigious talent, my friend.

Thanks DJ!

here is my Scary Clown mini. This thing has been in and out of my pocket a zillion times so you can see the Sharpie wearing off. I'll probably retouch him today

so this is one I was thinking about this week.
The original was a laser-eyed zombie FireShark. But I decided to drop the lasers to make it more realistic :D
I decided to go with a twist on the Yin-Yang composition

Love the diver. He's so screwed!
LOL... you know that's right!

its rainy, windy and cold outside. So I cranked out another graphic. This is the remake of the eagle on page 2; you can see he changed quite a bit. I started to remake the original graphic and one thing led to another. Next thing I know its completely different.

This one really should have been dyed instead of Sharpied. I vectored the graphic so I can dye it next time. Ill probably mess with it some more because I'm not very stoked about it.

I so terribly want a company to buy your designs for foil hot stamps!

and here he is! Riding his battle croc, of course!
I'll probably work on this one a little more but he's mostly finished.

That is bad ass! Awesome illustration!

Sharpie actually does stick rather well to most plastics, and will last for a very long time.

FYI, I have found that Pilot ink is basically one of the best 'dyes' on the planet, which is why it has been a favorite of graffiti writers for decades. They make markers in all sorts of sizes and they are generally refillable. If you keep doing these, I would strongly recommend checking out Pilot markers. Once it has sat on a disc for a couple of days, it absolutely will not come off at all, even if you let the disc sit in acetone, which I wouldn't recommend, but trust me, this stuff just sinks in and becomes part of the plastic.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks C Dub!
I'll definitely have to check out the Pilot Ink markers you mentioned.

Here's one I did this week... I might color him in at some point. For now I just want to throw him
