This already was a tunnel shot (Middle Creek #4), but ice storms from the winter must have convinced some of the pines it was too easy.

Lion Magazine

OK, so it's not a great picture. But my Dad showed me this blurb in Lion Magazine from April, 2016. It's the magazine of the non-profit Lion's International organization.

Another WDG extension granted by mother nature

For a while it was looking like we were headed for some nice spring disc golf, but then that all changed and we had a full card on this round.

Just my opinion, of course, but cholla and disc golf are an awful mix. I don't remember the hole number either but I remember this hole. First time I've ever seen the situation where you can land within 10 ft of the basket and be forced to take an optional rethrow penalty. No one could take a stance inside that cholla.

The best thing that I can say about Cactus Flats is that there are baskets. One more good thing ... hmmm ... give me a second ... I'm thinking ...

Never been there and agree with what you said.

Maybe the view would be a good 2nd positive thing about the course??? :D

Never played a true desert course so the unique experience was worth it.

Wisconsin warm up

Wow! What a difference 4 days can make in the weather and course conditions. Hope everyone up north has taken advantage of the cool weather, as many courses are closing till May.

Oh I hope we get this much snow again next year!

Here's an example of April fools day disc golf in the Colorado mountains at Redtail dgc. The snow is hard enough now to play without snow shoes but most of the baskets are still deeper then the snow. It's best not to land a disc upside down otherwise you're likely going to be chasing it hundreds of feet down the mountain.

^ I think I'd be a full blown snowboarder at this point disc golf wouldn't be high on my list. And it's so sunny!

Cool picture
