Nice tee. But it looks like you're just throwing 40-50' and into the shule in either direction. :D

Is it a decent hole?

The whole course is a lot of that, lol jk(kinda). This hole is roughly 260ft(I think) and the basket is dead center behind the middle wall of shule. There are routes around the sides, but you're right that it just looks like a wall. This course is kind of weird. It started as an 18 hole, more or less, long "pitch and putt". Then they decided to expand it. The original 18 became the "red" course, they then designed the "Black" course which plays safari style down the first several holes of the Red before splitting off on its own.

Here is the course map:

Yeah, that doesn't look like much fun.

You can see the basket in the pic, about a quarter of the way up from the bottom on the left edge.

Sure can! My wife(then girlfriend) took the pic and it's so cool that you can see the green/pin at that angle. I knew there was a reason I married her...

I guess the teepads aren't that unique but the 4' PVC pipes right at the back of them sure are

Maybe they're trying to minimize run up???????????

You got me, it was the weirdest thing I've seen as far as teepads go. Most of the holes were pretty short (125'-250') but they had 3 longer holes: 310', 400', and 500'. It was very awkward trying to get a decent runup on those holes with the super short pads featuring a massive PVC pole dead center at the back of them.

Perhaps they're part of a devious plan by the designer to make an easy course a little bit harder (read: bwaaahahah).
Ps: they are a bit weird....

It could be worse. It could have a bench bolted to the back of the pad. Or, the post could be coming up right thru the throwing end of the teepad.

(I went to get the pics from the Not Cool thread but they are gone...)

I liked what Burgess Park (Cape Cod, MA) did on a couple holes. Could be a step or for bags when it's muddy. I'm not sure, I'm just a tourist there a couple times a year. (Not sure why pics aren't appearing?)

I'm unsure the exact story, but I am sure somebody on here will correct me. It's Alum Creek, in Ohio, I think this is hole 9, and they incorporated the pad into a walking path.
