Purple Primer for dye?

Anybody tried using the Purple Primer for PVC pipes? I'm just getting ready to dye some discs and had to do some plumbing today and thought "hey, I wonder!??"

It works a bit. I accidently dripped some on a disc so I added some more splotches. The disc was white Pro plastic and has since been lost. It just not a great purple and the color depth was variable.

Don't know about discs, but you have to wear it off your skin.
