So I tried my first dye tonight. Its is truly a precise art.

Once my design was on the disc, I dropped in the dye. After a long wait (or what I thought was a long time) of 10 minutes, the disc hadn't really taken any dye.

It was a champion rhyno, if that helps. Any thoughts/tips for a newbie?

Just More Time!

I turned the heat up a little bit, and left it in a little longer.

For my first attempt, it looks pretty good. I'd say it was a "GREAT SUCCESS"

(Read that in your best Borat voice)

Not bad at all for your first! I see you now know how hard it is to cut out a perfect circle?

Perfect Circle

Even with a swivel xacto knife it was tough. A peace had a lot of circular pieces.

Maybe a more square stencil for my second one.

I've found that long, straight lines are just as bad as circles. You have to be very careful. And patient.
