got a stalker at a family Christmas on Saturday and played a two disc round with it and a magnet yesterday in the snow.

just wanted to say that I'm on the stalker bandwagon, very nice disc.

As enamored as I am currently with the PD, the Stalker is by far my favorite driver right now. My flippy one is the most controlled turning and predictable understable disc I've ever owned. I release it with hyzer, it flips up and over slowly, then comes back finishing straight at the end. That one is a flat FR that weighs 174.

I just got a flat pink 175 production run that is one of the clearer one I've seen (thanks Marmoset!). This one was straighter with more glide out of the box than most my others. After sanding down the flashing and a few good tree whacks this is the most Buzzz-like Stalker I've thrown. Most of my other ones have a little S to the flight, but this one just goes straight with a teeny fade. It flattens a bit from a hyzer release, but doesn't flip.

The third one in my bag is a yellow 175 gram production run. For whatever reason this one is pretty overstable, the most overstable I've thrown. It holds its angle of release without flipping at all (like a mini Teebird or PD). I use this for wind or sharper hyzers.

These past couple of weeks has really been the only time I've ever went totally minimalistic with my fairway drivers and it has really been paying off as I feel I'm really shaping lines to match exactly what I'm visualizing instead of the hit or miss/approximation I've experienced in the past throwing several fairway molds. I love the Stalker as it has brought my affection for minimalism and premium plastic together at last.

How long did that ^^^^^^ take? Reminds me of my beat Stalker, although I doubt the loss of an appendage has helped with Pedobear's stalking ability.

My Stalker has been slowly beating in and it definitely does become a fair amount more under-stable than when new. I found this out on a windy day not long ago. :roll: Like discspeed said above, the beat Stalker just needs a little more hyzer release and it will keep popping into that jaw-droppingly straight flight with lots of glide. I've played several rounds with other people where I was trying to hit a tight gap in trees about 250 ft away, the Stalker flipped up going straight at one of the furthest trees (you could tell immediately), and everybody is yelling "turn!" as I just shook my head and said "no, it will not turn, it will fly straight into that tree." Indeed. I'm still very impressed with this ability for the Stalker to hit and hold a laser beam line, I've never seen it quite so perfect before in other molds. Now that it is beat-in a little, I'm going to try working anny lines a bit more, and see how it goes...I could use something that holds a line for 350-ish gentle right turns.

I like this disc, but I'm worried that it's too fast for my development. What speed would you rate it? Discgolfcenter rates it at a 10, which I should not even be looking at. The various Stalker threads seem to indicate that it's slower though, so I'm not sure what to think.

Speed 10 is a ludicrous assessment. It is slower than a Teebird, faster than a Leopard/XL. Its about the same speed as a JLS.

yeah, i saw that and thought it was weird too. i have a slow arm and have no problem getting the stalker up to a good cruising speed. by contrast, i can't really get a correct flight out of a solf (also a "speed 10") without some help from a headwind.

I really want to like my GLO Stalkers, god knows I love my GLO Buzzzes, but they just seem slower and clunkier than my others. I'm going to take some Stalkers to the field tomorrow and see if this really is the case or just an impression I've gotten from some weird throws/wind conditions. It may just be the dome.

thats weird , both my glow stalkers are flat. actually NONE of my stalkers (7) are domey. they only real difference i can tell is my 171 s will flip flat from a slight hyzer and hold.where as my 175+ are more stable and can be thrown with a touch of anny.

My GLO Stalkers aren't domey by disc standards, just compared to my other Stalkers that are totally flat.

I like the domey one better. It can take some balls on the throw...

Once my ankle heals, I'm going to head to the course and see how my flat first runs compare to the domey production Z stalkers I have...
