Texas courses underwater 2015 edition

I hear there's a dam about to break near Dallas. Y'all hang in there!

The media blew this out to ridiculous proportions. It's a tiny lake with a dirt dam. It'll flood a section of 287 and a bunch of empty pastures. And they're pretty sure it's under control now.

The wooden bridge at Carver Park in Keene washed away. It looks like it may be salvageable.

This thread makes me sad. As much as I dislike Winter Texans (I am from MN and the lames that move there during the wintertime get that moniker), this is just tragic. You guys have my condolences.

It's one of those things. It really does suck. But I look at as a giving up a month worth of disc golf and a few more man hour in course reconstructions in exchange for having lakes filled back up. Many lakes were 10 plus feet below normal. Wichita Falls was in disaster area with about 22 percent of their lake left. Now at over 100 percent. Palo pinto went up from 9 percent full to 100 in two weeks.

Lewisville went from 8 feet low to 14 feet high. I recall hearing something about a hotel chain that was possibly going to buy some land on which the Lake Lewisville course is located. Maybe this event will deter that sort of development.

This is normally two soccer fields, two ponds, and about three holes at the ROC in Tyler

Same Course, the water comes clear across another soccer field to flood this basket. There's no water any where near this hole normally

It's strange to say that we needed a flood, but we did. The drought lasted 6 years and was devastating to our state. Filling the lakes, ground water wells and aquifers can only be done by epic flood. Total saturation was necessary and thank God it's happened.

It's raining right now in DFW.

raining hard in Tyler as well, no mini today. At least for me, not brave enough

Hole 16 at Lake Lewisville yesterday morning. 17 is totally underwater to the right.

So which courses ARE playable now in the dallas metroplex? Last time i played was 2 weekends ago at lake park so i know to avoid that course. Where would be my best bet this week to play after this last bout of rain? Any suggestions? Am i better off just putting in my backyard for now?

Silence is consent? Hmmm, I'll have to remember that one next time some bimbo passes out drunk....
