So i was thinking what should be the first control/distance driver for people. With that i mean about 9-10 speed disc. Should it be something like a light valkyrie or something more understable like sidewinder. Or even a P-Pd or X avenger. So this is for people that are about that 300 mark and want to throw faster/longer discs to increase distance to 350ish.

167 Champ Valkyrie will fill your need. I have a 168 sidewinder that tested well in the park but every time I throw it during a round it doesn't fly the same. Is you are looking to stay a little straighter a 170 Avenger SS is money. Good luck in your search for your right disc.

S TD Rush, ESP Flash, Lucid Escape, Star Valkyrie, Champion Beast, GL Saint, Proton Amp, Proton Volt, Sirius Orion LS, or VIP Northman are all probably somewhat safe bets.

I agree with a valk, but I absolutely love my saint also, that disc does everything I want and more. Couldn't be happier with it.

A PPD is a great choice, and the saint is definitely very controllable and gets good distance.

Saint & Escape are great choices. I would suggest the excellent (but less expensive) recycled plastic.

I love the SOLF, but a fresh one would definitely be overstable for someone who's only hitting 300'. Your 300' shot is not going to go 350' with an OLF because of the stability.

The OLS is a better choice, but even better would be something like a Sidewinder or Roadrunner or a TD. The Valk is probably the best choice.

Even though it's not faster than a fairway, a River can be a really long disc. You could probably get it out to 350' with ~300' of power.

As a newbie to the forums, I am so glad this didn't turn into a "use the search feature" festival because I like that threads get rehashed so I don't read info from last decade.

Light Valk or MVP Amp would get my vote.

A 9 or 10 speed disc won't truly help you break 300 feet. It may be counterproductive, and may even be harder to keep it on the fairway.

What drivers do you currently throw, and how far do you average with them? Why do you feel a 9 or 10 speed disc is your best option?
