Not actually bad if you read what txdgboy does, and logically hot water is no different from hot dye during his processNever use hot water because it can blur the image right after coming out of the dip. Always use cold water and a lot of people will place the disc in the freezer afterwards to help set the image and possibly slow down the blurring process.
hot water does actually loosen the adhesive, and I know its damn hard to stain a stainless steel sink.. maybe if you have one of those plasticy white ones thoughthat...AND youll stain your sink...AND youll have adhesive residue bonded to the disc.
I agree, LoPan, I'm sorry but if we ever get to meet and you have that disc, I might have to throw a rock at it!
But overall, I think it looks pretty damn good!
forget so soon? I totally weeded that one, you dyed it a few days afterward by yourself. Team effort! :hfive:
super cool man!!! very nice.
When I remove all the "stick icky" to reveal the finish product -- well before I reveal the finish product -- I run the water in the kitchen sink as hot as I can get it and just let the water run over the top of the disc AND vinyl before I peel the vinyl back. It really loosens up the adhesive on the vinyl PLUS+++ it really helps remove any excess dye that may still be on the disc.

spaceman, did you plot that for him?
if you did, would you mind sharing that stencil? if i ever throw a green disc, i want that dyed on it.
I actually plot them all myself. We work together. I usually plot, he weeds, I tranfer, he dyes.
I believe we both have the stencil if you'd like it though.
you mean the r-pro batch that a broom fell into?can you dye r-wood....??
h00ray for teamwork :hfive:
haha, awesome. I love the mario themes. btw, whats up with the background texture? did you do that or is that just the plastic?
