If the snow is really deep and powdery, I'll play putter only or superclass rounds, the slower discs dive under the snow a lot less, my zephyr has never actually found it's way all the way under the snow. Otherwise, there's good advice here about minimizing footprints and looking for where the disc sliced into the snow. Also, hyzers seem to be less likely than anhyzers to get under the snow fwiw.
