I'm currently using 157-159, which is actually not that bad. They're a lot easier to get up to the speed they were intended to fly at and put less strain on the body than max weight drivers, especially later in the round. I'd much rather bump up to 160- 165 though, a lot more molds and plastic selections would be available. Options are always nice.

Max weight for everything. Playing in KS, I need stability in the ever-present winds, and I like the consistency heavy discs provide. If I need something flippier, I pull out a different mold.

I voted 160-169, but I prefer the higher end of this 167-170. My heaviest drivers are 171 other than my Inspire, which is max weight because it was the only weight they had.

Typically, I'll go for a ~167g driver. It it's an especially windy day, I'll grab a max weight Firebird.

I like the 166-171 range on drivers. Almost didn't want because I don't really like getting down to the lower 160's. A range of 5 grams 161-165, 166-170, 171-175 would have been ideal in the poll.

Just like everything it depends on the mold and conditions.
I am a 168-174 guy for my D Drivers. I voted 170+ however, calm conditions, open fairway, I need all the distance I can get I would probably be throwing a 168-170 world. The only time I would throw for near max D on the course is if its relatively low risk (if I miss its still an easy 3) and its the only way I will get a circle putt. So, never.

Bump this one, it's better, people were mad, let's make them happy.

I voted 167. It's the weight I gravitate to but I've thrown as low as 157 and up to 171 on my speed 12/13.

I pretty much only throw 165- 170 for distance.

max weight for everything, basically. I do carry a 170g destroyer for big tailwind drives, its hard to get a max weight high speed driver up to cruising speed in a big tailwind.

I like the consistency and wind fighting abilities of max weight discs. I could eek a bit more D with lighter discs, but I think there is a consistency trade off when you go that route. I like things to be as simple and uniform across the board as possible. Fewer variables= more consistency

All that being said, if you ever get into the habit of weighing your discs yourself you will find that factory weights are off by a ton. So while all my drivers are factory marked 175, actual scale weights vary from 172-178. So even if you have a specific factory weight you like, unless you are weighing discs yourself chances are you in a 4-5 gram range. I don't think it really makes a difference.

I pretty much throw 170-172 for everything, but for all out distance I like a destroyer in the 167-169 range. It's probably all in my head.

Vote 168, but I try to stay between 165-170. Just works for me. Just got a 175 black Outlaw I am gonna give a toss or two though.
