What's in your bag - 2008 edition

I was in Play It Again Sports and they had Elite-X Buzzzes for $7.99 so I picked one of those up to play around with. I'll hold off on trying the Skeeter. I'll probably still pick one up eventually, since the Goblin is the one disc I can get to do exactly what I want it to, but I like the feel of the Buzzz so far.

Just to reply to myself: the Buzzz so far seems to be doing what I wanted out of a Skeeter. It flies straight and just a bit more overstable than the Goblin but I can get it out longer than I'm comfortable with the Goblin. I've only done a quick bit of practice so far but it was working for most of the types of shots I use the Goblin for.

Teebird (1 champ 1 dx)
Firebird (1 champ 1 dx)
Gazelle (1 new dx 1 beat dx)
Buzz (1 Z 1beat D)
Wasp (1 Z)
Wizard (1 Soft)

I decided to take out the distance drivers now and work just on my form and the lines I can put all of these discs on. So far it has been working good.

Star Destroyer

Z Predator

i've added a 150 molf for distance, replaced the dx valk with a 150 surge, added a kc pro roc i won in a tournament, and gone back to putting with a 175 instead of a 168. i can get about 320' out of my distance drivers and about 300' from the fairway drivers.

175 s wizard, broken-in: putting
170 ss wizard, beat: upshots
168 s wizard, newish: driving, upshots

170 dx rancho roc, broken-in
170 kc pro roc, new
170 dx ontario roc: reliably understable

172 dx gazelle, beat: controllable flippy shots
172 dx gazelle, broken-in: controllable other shots
167 dx teebird, broken-in: straight
170 ch teebird, newish: moderate wind, reliable finish
172 z predator, slightly broken-in: heavy wind, ud shots, skips, spike hyzers

150 x surge, broken-in: understable distance
150 molf, new: stable distance

i have a 170 solf that i've messed around with a bit, but currently it doesn't really give me anything different than the champ tb.

Dude, I was totally surprised at how far these go and sooo controllable

the only esp one I threw had zero glide and was very overstable. I liked the Z a lot for distance.

I loved my old bag layout for its simplicity and efficiency, but I've gotten some new discs and I like the way they fly. I might have some overlap, but until I figure out which disc I like for which shot, they're staying in the bag.

This is the general categories I have for bag building, and what disc I have that currently fills that role.

Drivers:
Extreme Overstable - E Spirit 180g and DX Firebird 170g (brand new)
Overstable - Star Destroyer 171g
Forehand Control - SOLF 174g
Backhand Control - DX Wraith 174g (slightly beat)
Understable - Champion Sidewinder 171g

Fairway:
Overstable - (2) DX Whippet-X 168g (one beat, one new)
Control - (2) Star TL 170 and 171 (one beat, one new)

Mid-Range:
Extreme Overstable - Champion Gator 175g
Overstable - No-x KC Pro Roc 175g (brand new)
Control - DX Roc 180g (beat to straight)
Understable - DX Roc 178g (thrashed to hell understable bacon)

Putters:
Inside 15 feet - Medium Wizard 175g
Outside 15 feet - Star Aero 180g

Still not sure about my Aero for long-range putts. I like the extra glide and I had a lot of success with it when it used to be my primary putter, but lately I've had no success with it. Still looking for a SS Wizard 165g... ANYBODY???

After some buys and some testing, I've finalized this year's bag. (hopefully)

Z Pred (2)
Z Crush
ESP Surge (2)
Champion Sidewinder

Z Flick (massive skips/hammers)

ESP Tracker
Z XL (2)
X XL

FLX/D Drone
ESP/Z/D Buzzz

DX Aviar (2)

I knew I couldnt stay out of this thread for long

My return to throwing rocs was pretty short lived. I found that I dont like the grip as much as I remember- the Buzzz is just more comfortable in my hand. And now that I've broken in my destroyer, I dont trust it for overstable duties anymore. I need to find a consistent, overstable distance driver for headwinds and long hyzers.

Would an Avenger work for this? Z or ESP? I would prefer something true stable.

The current bag:

2 Firebirds (Champ, CE)
1 Destroyer (Star) - Coming out of the bag soon
2 Flashes (Z, ESP)
2 Teebirds (Champ)
2 Leopards (CE)
1 Gator (Champ)
3 Buzzz's (2 ESP, 1 2nd First Run Z)
1 Roc (Beat to hell DX) - Replacing with a beat up D Buzzz soon
3 Wizards (Soft)

173g Star Leopard - utility
175g Star Leopard - utility
171g Dx Teebird - broke in a little
171g CE Teebird - $$$ utility
171g 11x Teebird - more fade (auditioning over star)
169g Star Wraith - broke in (d)
175g CFR Destroyer - flat hyzers/d in the wind
174g Dx Firebird - newish

174g Dx Cro - broke in to straight (auditioning over broke-in dx roc)
175g Star Cro - stable mid
170g CFR Gator - very overstable mid

172g Beaver - what a wizard wants to be*

*lock-off said this in april of 2008

probably will ditch the destroyer and wraith for the more techical course around here, but my home course is very long and wide open/

(jump putting inside 60 or so) putter most shots inside 100, cro/gator 100-225, leopard 225-300, teebirds 275-340, wraiths 340+

comments/suggestions/gripes plz ;)

Some updates;

3* Firebird
3* Teerex
3* Valkyrie
4* Teebird
4* Roc
3* Discmania P2

Some slight changes to my bag

Drivers:
170 Star Destroyer
175 Star Destroyer
168 Raging Inferno DT (soft flexible one) (new)
169 Star Beast
170 Avenger SS
175 Star Max
171 Force (new)
163 Star Orc (oldest disc in my bag)

Mid:
175 Star Coyote
168 MRX
170 beat up Roc
172 Drone Pro D

Putters:
175 Soft Wizard x 2

The force flies more overstable than my max. I've developed a run up for my forehand coupled with learning how to control the 170 Destroyer so I'm getting at least 50 to 70 more feet on my max drives. I want to try the new flex drones
