Finally found time to go throw this. It's overstable. Of course, right? But it didn't crash to the ground like I was expecting. It went out started fading slowly and gradually found the ground while still getting decent distance. I think I need more time with it to see what I can really do with...
My wife and I both love our Pilots for putting and throwing. They glide so much and are so straight that if you miss you know what it was...and it wasn't the disc! No fade to predict either. For throwing they are just a nice gentle turn over. Cover so many shots with this disc! And the upshots...
My Frost River seems a touch more overstable than my friend's Rivers in other plastics. The disc just goes straight with a touch of fade and a stupid amount of glide.
At league yesterday I was giving this a little run down while waiting for cards to finish up. I was throwing a 165g Proton Spin and was able to hyzer flip it very easily and it continued to turn a bit before straightening out and landing flat. It definitely flies understable as expected. There...
I've been throwing the BT Hard but these Megasofts feel so nice. Really considering changing that up.
I feel like calling a Harp a putter is kind of weird. It really feels more like a speed 4 midrange to me. Am I alone in that?
My Volt of choice is a Plasma Volt. We recently got some Protons that feel like the gummy Proton that the Insanities first came in. Feels great in the hand and doesn't seem as overstable as the older firm Proton but my Plasma is just so buttery smooth and dead straight for 300'.
I just mentioned a couple weeks ago how a premium plastic spin would be wonderful. Can't wait to give it a try and see how it compares to the Electron Meds! Hopefully I can use it as a more understable Theory.
My friend loves Kastaplast and I will say the K2 plastic feels wonderful. Discs fly well too! Haven't thrown them enough to really be able to tell flight differences between plastics but K2 is by far my favorite.
