That's insane. I love the pure, but I just can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for a couple of putters.
It makes me want to switch to a more mainstream brand like discraft that I know I can rely on to produce a consistent product from year to year.
Wizards are the same way. I can...
Handled both the Zero Hard and Zero Soft Pure's at a shop the other day. What a disappointing experience. The Hard is way too hard for my liking and doesn't have the grippy texture of EZE and the Softs are WAY too soft... Almost floppy. And, the one I handled was warped/bent. The Hard also...
I just picked up a 150 Champ Valk hoping I could keep a light Valk nice and straight for longer than a DX, and I was surprised to see it come in with bubbles in the rim. Not the whole way like a blizzard disc but just in the middle of the rim.
Is that normal for 150 champ Valks?
My 150 DX Eagle in hunter orange. My first driver ever. When I don't know what to throw, this is it. (not that that's the only time I throw it). Beat in big time... Love it.
Haha, you are correct. That plus auto-correct on iPhone. Sadly, I'm not sure how to modify the topic from Tapatalk...
I noticed it after the fact and corrected the OP, but didn't change the subject line.
My noodle arm probably makes this topic irrelevant, but I do use over hand for get out of trouble type shots where there is an obstacle blocking all other paths.
What are you guys throwing for overhand shots? My brother does really well with a StarFire, but he has a bigger arm then I do. Any disc recommendations, specific models, understable/overstable etc.?
Nothing wrong with that, IMO. Most of the advice that I hear given to noobs is stay the hell away from the high speed stuff to begin with. There may be better discs out there in fairways, mids and putters, but I myself can basically write off anything faster than what's considered a fairway...
That is one benefit, they're cheap! And in some ways, always having the same products/molds could be an advantage for the player, maybe not so much for the business...
In general everyone blasts Lightning discs. I own two and frankly they really work for me. The #1 Slice is a super reliable turnover or hyper-flipper for me and glides forever, especially downhill. The other disc I have is a #2 Driver that I use for water holes(it floats), but it honestly...
One of my first discs was a DX Shark. I think it's a real nice disc for a beginner and now that I've had mine forever, it's a nice turnover mid for me. The other mid a would suggest is a Star Mako, super straight mid when thrown flat. However, the current popular consensus will probably say...
I might have mis-spoke, those long holes are par 4's on the course I'm playing. Should have mentioned that. I'm throwing nowhere near 400' with a standstill throw. More like 260'
