Playing time is limited these days but I finally did it...shot under par on a legit course. -2 at Cherry Hill, Coeur d'Alene ID. First time playing that course. Pleased am I.
No knock taken. But in fact I personally find the Eagle-X to be a very different, and much more useful disc than a TeeBird. I can get all kinds of lines out of EX's depending on weight and wear. But for me a Teebird in any weight or any plastic does one thing, and that is start turning left...
After a lot of struggle and going through periods of carrying 15 or 16 different molds at a time without being able to really throw most of them, I've decided to force myself down to a limited number of molds that I know work for me. So far I'm liking the results a lot. I've only got ~300' max...
Missed ya by 5 days. I had a layover in Houston on the 10th.
I had a Voodoo, Roc, Leo, and TeeBird in my carry-on, and got funny looks from the scanners. Had to unpack the bag twice. Do discs look like bombs on the x-ray?
Here's a pic I took at Morley Field. It was a plexiglas cover marked with magic marker or something, quick and easy but I don't see how the x would last long.

I'm about ready to quit the game because of this same problem. Footwork, timing, right pec, weight forward, I can't figure it out. 8 out of 10 drives are going 50 feet offline to the right, the other 2 are 50 feet offline to the left. I've read all the articles, watched the videos, worked...
Good: been field practicing throwing lefty due to an injury. Thought I was making some progress.
Bad and ugly: tried to throw a lefty round out on the course. After 6 holes I was +12 and had been threatened with physical harm by another DGer for a wild throw that landed too close. I was done...
I'm 52, everything I do is gradual
Thanks for the responses. I went out to the field a couple of times and tried throwing lefty with some lightweight understable stuff. Talk about feeling like a noob! Might have potential though, at least it's something to work on while healing up.
Did some field work to try and work on distance. Messed my elbow up. Can't grip, can't lift, can't throw. Doc says lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow)...ice, wear a brace, do stretches, might work back into playing DG in several months, might never be able to throw again. Real bummed :(...
