    DiscGolfPark USA

One recent DGP here in Finland cost 1000 euros per hole. I believe that included almost everything: design, teepads, baskets. I don't know if there was any terrain work, felling trees etc, but they likely weren't included. People here seem sceptic about turf pads, but honestly I don't...

State of the Finnish disc golf business

So I decided to see how the Finnish disc golf companies are doing. Law requires even smallish companies to reveal quite a lot of info. I have no relations with these companies nor do I know much about their business, I just gathered some public info. Profit number is probably profit before...

    DiscGolfPark USA

Turf is pretty common in Finland. If it's installed properly, it's much better than concrete. And DGP's teepads are usually pretty big, so that's a plus. In some YouTube clips, even from big US competitions, pads seem awfully small.

    Disc sales volume

Innova Champion Europe, which is essentially Discmania, had sales of 3,6 million euros last year. This isn't just discs, though: they get some revenue also from selling courses mostly to municipalities. I also don't know if this number includes revenue from outside Finland (though I suppose it...

2015 United States Disc Golf Championship

http://youtu.be/SupWXOd0rnc Climo's 13 at 37:37. Pretty brutal, but he clearly lost his focus completely. That didn't look like a very difficult upshot.

    Disc Golf World Tour

259000 live viewers last summer. http://www.opendiscgolf.com/2015/07/24/eo2015-makes-waves-in-media/ I really don't get why disc golf couldn't be a spectator sport. Ball golf is, why not disc golf?

    Disc Golf World Tour

I honestly think Jussi's doing all the right things to transform the sport into a more professional thing. In Finland his company has gotten municipalities to buy designed courses, which has exploded the number of players. With the growing number of players and other interested folks disc golf...

    Short stride

Today I read this thread and had half an hour of spare time. Took five Aviars and threw an open 295 ft hole. First two sets were meh, but then: boom! After one set all five discs were pretty much parked. The longest shot was about 15 ft past the pin. For me a 300 ft accurate putter shot is...

How accurate is your putting from 25ft?

Tried this today, 67/100 from 25 feet. I'm yet to play in a tournament, but I'd guess I'll be rated around 880.

RHBH form check, stuck at 360 feet

Thanks a lot guys! You're awesome. I think this might help me too. I was throwing on Sunday for a while, and it seemed that when I lean over my core area a bit more (as I should) and extend my elbow, my throws either go straight but too high in hyzer or flat but too much to the left. I'll go...

RHBH form check, stuck at 360 feet

Four shots here. Aviar, Buzzz, Aviar, Buzzz. Just random and average shots for me. With a seasoned Destroyer I can usually reach 360 feet on a field, longest shot I've measured was at 385 feet. (These are actual, not internet feet.) Goal would be to consistently reach 400 feet. Some thoughts...

European Masters 2014, live on national TV

This is pretty cool: For the second year in a row, the biggest European tournament will be broadcast live on national TV. The final moments of Stockholm's European Masters will be shown live on Swedish and Finnish TV on Sunday. They'll also stream it online...
