Interesting, I'll have to check that out. Don't own any Legacy discs, so this might be a good reason to try their plastic. Thanks for the recommendation!
That 10x KC Pro Roc I lost in a giant bush at the Dorton Park pitch and putt 9-hole course in 2002. I dug through that bush for like an hour. Still bothers me to this day, even though I don't even bag a Roc anymore. It was like that scene from Full Metal Jacket: "this is my Roc; there are many...
I haven't been to Renaissance or Hornet's Nest in a couple years. Looks like I've been missing out. I was always a big fan of the Nest layout (especially back in the day, when hole 7? ran along the creek, and hole 9 finished near the parking lot), but Renny (especially Gold) was just a reminder...
Here's a link to the picture on the disc golf values site, no pics of mine right now; at the moment all my discs are in storage. I'll grab it and snap a pic when I go to the storage place in a few days, if you are interested.
Mine is a DX bottom-stamped Roc, the 2nd disc I ever got (along with an Aviar, after playing for almost a year with only a Shark), probably circa 2001 (RIP Disc Landing).
I bagged it faithfully until last year, and only took it out for fear of losing it (sentimental value and all that).
Up...
Got a couple rounds in this week with a DX Whale in the bag, and liking it already for approaches and longer outside-the-circle putts (hit basket on a couple of 40-footers, but couldn't get one to drop). Blue plastic, with green stamp; looks pretty sweet.
I tend to prefer premium plastics, and...
Finally got to throw a Polecat recently, and I was definitely feeling it (maybe it's all those years I used the sort-of-a-lid-but-not-really Putt'r). Got online to buy one and was sad to see I missed out on the limited run of Champ kitties last year. I would love to have a lid in MVP plastic. I...
For a lightweight, good sounding set of headphones for on the course use, I like Koss PortaPro. Under 40 bucks on amazon (slightly more if you need iDevice controls), comfortable (I run the cable down the back of my shirt into my pocket), and open-back so you can still hear the environment...
I already like the Tangent and Atom, and would love to try out the Relay, especially with my noodle arm. The stamps look sweet and the discs alone are more than worth the price of admission. Hoping somebody does one in the Charlotte area. C'mon Mike C, make it happen!
Got my first Atoms in today (soft purple). Man, this is some nice feeling plastic. Can't wait to get out and give these some time (not looking to drive/approach with them, just for putting). I pretty much went back and forth between Magics and Anodes for a while, but couldn't really jive with...
Just got my first two MVP drivers (Amp/Volt) in the mail yesterday. Man, these things look and feel great, even better it seems than my Tangents and Anodes. And pictures don't do justice to the hot pink and highlighter yellow neutron colors. Can't wait to get out on the course tomorrow and let...
