This makes my decision to ditch mids for Colts even sweeter. I shall name my bag "the stable".
So Colts are that long for you that they overlap with mids? Do you also bag a slower fairway driver? Something like a Gazelle for example. Just curious how the distance gaps work in your bag.
The Colt is sneaky long for a putter, probably mostly because of the low profile. I was able to get fresh XT protos out over 300 feet pretty easily on laser straight lines, which definitely put them in contention with my mids.
I think the stud will be long but how stiff will it be?

Correct, I bag vipers now. Colt - viper - teebird flows better for me than my old aviar - roc - teebird
Fyi I throw the colt around 300' on golf lines.
So carry a cycle of vipers? I did this with a gazelle/chief os for awhile.

However, they didn't keep that stability all that long, and once they started turning a bit too much I went back to Pigs and Rocs. If the Stud is like the Colt, but has a little more HSS (and keeps that stability a little longer), then I could see it doing mid duties in some bags for sure though.
Thank you for the response. I wish I was hitting lines like that. I max at around 300' with drivers so I think I will stick with traditional mids for my bag.
Matt, a low-pro putter might be worth a try. The Envy has stolen a good number of shots from my Buzzz's since it goes almost as far and is even easier to control. With 300' of power on a driver you might be surprised how far you can throw a putter like the Envy or the Stud (assuming that it flies as promised) that you can safely throw with full power and not worry about it getting squirrely on you.

The viper is a confusing disc. I always thought they were similar distance as a teebird.
Interesting. How far are you throwing tee birds?
Teebird is a tricky disc to define a range. I target about 365' on the course, but they drift up to 400' if I crank on them. No way I am ever throwing a viper 400'.
