Dang, what is it with MVP (actually gyro plastic itself)? A couple of years ago, I tried some MVP and didn't like it. The ones I recall the most are the Axiom Fireball and MVP Resistor. They were pretty flat and should have been awesome for my forehand. But, nope, couldn't throw them worth a darn. Ended up giving them away. Then the December Holiday happened....Jessie of TrashPanda had a Holiday Swap where you sent another person a used disc (Jessie believes in recycling). I got the MVP Servo and I ended up LOVING it. Lost it, bought another one in a lighter weight, got the first one back, lost the new one.....anyways, I now have two lightweight ones (one is always in my bag, the other is 'in case I lose the main one')...and the original one stays lost.
Then I found an Axiom Insanity. No name or number, but I posted that I found a disc and where, no one claimed it...a month later I started throwing it. Loved the flight, lost it. Bought a new one in a weight I prefer for my drivers.
Now, I'm thinking gyro might not be too bad. I took part in the Circuit Challenge....got the Axiom Rhythm and am loving it. The MVP Atom is also in my bag as a throwing putter. I'm not liking the Streamline Echo that much...it's on my shelf.
My bag now has several gyro discs: Axiom Insantity, MVP Servo, Axiom Rhythm, MVP Reactor, Axiom Hex, Axiom Envy, MVP Atom. Out of the 15 discs I normally bag, 7 are gyro. The Insanity and Servo are forehand only. The rest are thrown both forehand and backhand.
It's got me thinking about the other discs in my bag....maybe I might start replacing them with gyro some time soon.
