Post a NOT cool disc golf photo

I saw that during my round Friday...I'm feeling like that's some jack*ss jumping on the cage, not a mower. Broke every weld

Player who provided the picture witnessed the incident just after it happened. Hoping that the City insurance covers it.

In the meantime, we took the basket part from the practice basket and replaced the damaged one...... looks really weird without it.

I have no choice but to use a Bobcat Toolcat and a Bobcat T300 to mow my course. Both have funky steering - the toolcat is 4 wheel steering and if you turn away from an obstacle like a basket the rear end will swing towards the obstacle. No doubt there are a lot of mowers that do the same. I've had my share of close calls and unplanned events.

That being said, the first time that I played Edora Park (dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=6608) I had to skip hole 1 because a large family found the basket to be a perfect place for a picnic where the young boy could throw Frisbees at the basket when he felt like it and the young girls could use it as a jungle gym, like climbing up and hanging upside down from the basket.

That is crazy. The only explanation that comes to mind is that their shipping system must be geared towards sending people carts. Those prices wouldn't be that unreasonable for sending a Delta Cart, but for a single disc...yeesh!

The motto for my course is if you make it so nobody hates it, nobody will like it. If you make it where a lot of people really love it, a lot of people will really hate it. And above all, I can only do the best I can given the constraints that one faces with building and maintaining a course, especially given that disc golf is still a sport that doesn't bring out many players willing to pay $5 to play a course which costs more to run than it will ever make.

Thought this qualifies as a NOT COOL DISC GOLF PHOTO since it's of my ankle currently...So yeah, even though the last two days have been really nice for Michigan weather in the winter I've been laid up with this monstrosity. I slipped on some ice a couple of weeks ago and managed to not only break several bones in my ankle but dislocate it as well. Had surgery which apparently included some metal bits. On the bright side at least I haven't needed my super duper strong pain meds since Christmas day. I'll know a lot more this coming Tuesday for my post-op appointment.

Thank goodness for oodles of sick days at work.

Yep, that qualifies as not cool. All the best on your recovery and rehab. Been through a lot of that and it sucks, but be a PT maniac and these sucks days will be a distant memory before you know it.

I would thank you for this post but...is that feature disabled or am I too dumb to find it

Anyways, my bother and his wife are a PT and OT respectively. If he lived closer I might have him be my PT but knowing him it will be hard to differentiate between true, necessary exercises and sadism. He has a warped sense of humor. I plan on PT'ing my ass off because my job requires I be on my feet all day.

Yeah, I could see some sibling sadism going on there. Best to find an independent PT perhaps.

You can see the bullet holes in the number plate. One looks close to being a bullseye. Not cool considering the course is home to a herd of cattle.
