Any time Dave is mentioned somebody says foot fault. Lcgm8 has watched him a lot on many putts frame by frame during editing and has never seen foot faults. It is difficult to see and call such things so i don't wonder about the desire of some of the PDGA rules committee members of trying to create better and more enforcable rules. I wouldn't want to pour oil to the flame but what do you guys think of Cales putts? One of them looked questionable to me.

Apoth: Luckily you're not obliged to watch so that you don't need to suffer from the quality or lack thereof.

Whoa - don't be stepping on the Finnish video mafia their vids are some of the best out there...

There's always room for improvement. I don't mind seeing better stuff than what we do. Until he provides that -hot air. He does not like losing an argument probably like he did and got banned in the process so he's all emotional and if he needs to be on top in his mind by trash talking others let him. He probably isn't aware that i gave Solty the ammo to countermand the majority of moderators decision on banning Apoth. I have nothing against him. Sorry for bringing the troll back :) Everything he does from now on is partially to blame on me for having his ban lifted. If he wants to egg his face publicly let him. He's a great teacher and a warning example. No hard feelings there on my part. I want him to gain experience so that he can grow as a person. Good luck with that.

Happy new year to everyone.

Thanks to the support of the PDGA, full episodes of Disc Golf Live video magazine will now be posted online. While our primary goal is still to provide a free program for broadcast on public access TV stations to spread the good word about disc golf to the uninitiated, online postings will help bring DGL to established players and the online viewer base. We've got free program DVDs for anyone who wants to submit the show for local broadcast, and we can also set folks up with a resource for easy postal-free downloading.

The first part of this episode (39) features the Presidents Cup. Part two features a Guardians of Recreation bit, action from the Rose City Open, and action from the Tali Open. (Thanks, JR!)

Best regards,

Joe lcgm8 and mafa from this board were on camera too. The local club Talin tallaajat helped too. It was a team effort and i hope it sets a precedent for other clubs as well. I think everyone would benefit from more videos done by larger video crews. It would seem that we are gonna get a larger video crew together for one event next year :-D I hope we can do new things and pull them off with the extra crew.

The lighting conditions made filming difficult with the gear we had.

thanks for some sunday morning disc golf vids ... especially here in Connecticut where there is more than a foot of snow on the ground ... and with a sick 16 month old son, my odds of actually playing have been drastically reduced ...

Hope he gets well soon. We have a foot and a half of snow but we got a warm spell for Finland at 35F so i get to play yay! Here is some more footage FO round 2 part 5:

lcgm8 is on a roll with his new faster editing machine and we all get to enjoy the results :)

I look forward to coming to the sight and then when I see another one of your videos it makes my day. THANKS!!

I'm glad that we can provide relief to winter boredom. There's more stuff in the works. Lcgm8 is fiddling around with the new software to find the best balance of gamma, brightness and color corrections because the lighting on different rounds was nightmarish going from 6.30AM morning sun low over the horizon blazing into the camera at times to late in the night and continuously changing sunshine from between a lot of clouds. Not to mention very shadowy forests and shooting from lighted place into those shadows and vice versa. Non movie quality cameras just don't handle those kinds of conditions well. I had nightmare of a time with two hands flying on the camera setting adjusting zoom out and in while adjusting brightness manually trying to keep the camera steady while panning three dimensionally trying to center the picture on discs flying by. Changing exposure time going from light to dark places and vice versa adjusting the brightness for the finer results. I was overworked and stressed out because i made about six adjustments during each throw on average. At 15x zoom it ain't easy. Schooling the hard way :)

Now that lcgm8 has a faster editing machine the process of editing is faster and he's gonna improve on the quality of the videos he's released of the FO because the source material isn't served by the first set of settings he used. I'm working on indexing the files and cutting points of the second of three non Finnish events we filmed last year so that once lcgm8 is ready with the optimum settings he can start pumping out more vids at a faster rate. We're in a bit of a hurry because this season is knocking at the door and the first event is when this event should be ready for. So look for more stuff fairly soon. Lcgm8 ain't ready with the FO releases either. And i think there might be some material from the SO coming up as well. And there's one other foreign event we can't touch yet until this second one is in production for sales along with the SO.
