Here's a clip which includes Nate Sexton's final round ace at the 2010 USDGC:

There are a few shots of the lead group as well as the rest of Nate's group putting up a tasty (super) star frame. Double G's forehand birdie around the bamboo wall is pretty sweet.

Very nice clips JR!!

lcgm8 deserves a lot of the credit because more of his footage is used here and he edits the videos and arranges the music stuff rights etc. The good thing is that the sum of the parts we provide is greater than the raw footage quality of either one of ours is alone. Synergy at its best. The best stuff image quality wise from me is coming a little later once Finnish Open gets ready to be uploaded. I had to pull a little toward home so i went from automated camera controls to manual ones and did better in most cases than the overexposure ridden automated system. Too bad i can't do anything about the slow autofocus because there is no manual control.

Great videos. I really enjoy the bits of info about the holes before they start!

Yeah we can't take credit for those those are by the course designers. We had help from them and are grateful for the permission to use these. So it is not lcgm8 and me we're referring to when the text says something like: "...we...". Those course descriptions really are great for those who have never been to this course.

Every course should have similar info about every hole for visiting and new players. It really is a great help. When people get a leg up they shoot better and probably have more fun so it is more likely that they will come back to play more if they can. Or at least leave with a better impression of the true nature of the course and can give recommendations to others thus increasing player volumes and enjoyment for the others. That's a worthy goal.

Thanks. We try to make good stuff and learn all the time. The best effort so far is in the works so a little ramping up is to be expected once we get to The Finnish Open video :)

Tali open 2009 is ready for sales as a DVD and a BluRay which is of much better video quality. I don't know the behind the scenes situation with the shop that lcgm8 made the distribution agreement with. So far no orders. Which means that we need to look at alternatives for distribution. We have an agreement about distribution of another event with another shop so things could happen this fall or at the latest in the winter for our first available vid. Other alternatives are under consideration for the rest of the stuff. lcgm8 works with editing things ready for sale as he can. It takes time the way he does it by wanting perfection and he's fresh off a surgery. Good things come to those who wait. These vids are too great to keep them on just Youtube so we will get them out when we can. The vids are gona be much more than what you've seen on Youtube.

Is there anyway we could buy a digital copy JR? I'd LOVE to watch some HD disc golf!!

BluRay with English commentary is ready for sales but things aren't moving as fast as i'd like them to happen. I haven't heard from lcgm8 in a while i think i need to call him to see what's what.

Hi,

that's what i want too. Finnish postal company is ridiculously expensive and disc golf stores takes their cut too and are not so willing to invest for BD yet. I'm still searching possibilities to get files download able for small price.

I bought the DVD and enjoyed it. But I can easily understand your wishes for HD and want to sell BluRay instead. Hope things will start moving for you guys soon.

If you'd like to do individual transactions at first let me know! I've watched all of the videos, some multiple times. I love watching disc flight and that isn't always possible in lower resolutions.

I don't know anything about how they pay for bandwidth on this site, but if its per mb or something DGR could get a cut? I'm grasping at straws, I know!

We do need to explore every option but this forum ain't the right way because it's for registered members only. Blake does have a store so that may be a viable option. I hadn't thought of it and we do need to discuss this possibility. Thanks for the idea MrScoopa.

What did you think of the DVD Mejlholm? There are very few copies around as of now and i haven't had a lot of feedback yet. I assure you the BluRay vs DVD is a whole other ball game and feeling and the ability to see what's going on despite having lesser cameras and HD ready resolution then. VS full HD with better cameras now. We're getting better all the time.

Hi, JR -

Glad to hear about the new videos and distribution plan. Happy to set aside time in future episodes of Disc Golf Live video magazine to feature some of your team's work. We'll have to work something out soon while I'm planning out this year's shows. Now that you have DVD copies available, it will be a breeze to arrange.

You folks might want to consider one of the many file-sharing FTP video sites out there. I looked at a few awhile back and you should be able to come up with a way to get your work to folks on an individual basis pretty easily. If I recall, most sites will set you up to allow viewers to pay-per-view a particular stream, or folks can pay more for a file download, so they can have a copy of the content in the richest format that's practical. I don't work in HD so I'm not sure how file-sizes work out, but I'd recommend checking out FTP as a way to get your goods across the pond digitally. (I'm not sure, but you could also probably arrange to put links to your downloadables at retail websites, kicking a portion of the proceeds back based on activity per site. That might be a great win-win solution (for everyone but the post office and delivery companies.)

Take care,

Joe

It's actually been a while since I looked at it. The only points of critique I remember was some smaller pieces of footage being overexposed due to your camera that crashed during the filming(if I recall correctly) and that the DVD menu could have had a bit more love (the thing that sprung most into the eyes were the yellow highlight color when chooing footage).

Other than that it was a pretty good first release and the editing was true to the spirit of lcgm8's youtube stuff.
