Flatpad teepads

Me, I speak American...

in a fine Milwaukee dialect...

Ana' hay...

This made me chuckle pretty good. I've got more of the Wisco Northwoods dialect going on...... definitely not quite to Yooper levels, but definitely funny sounding to people in other regions.

The language thing is definitely something to be conscientious about though. I've ran into it a few times here with some of our other users from across the pond. Problem is, most of them speak/write in English better than I do so it's sometimes hard to even know.

There's the old saying, if speaking two languages makes you bilingual, and speaking three languages makes you trilingual, what do you call someone who only speaks one language?

I haven't read this entire thread, so sorry in advance if someone asked, but do these have to be shipped to the US from Finland? In addition to the $2000 cost/pad?

For international customers, please note that prices and taxes are calculated according to your location when you add products to the shopping cart and update your location.
Prices vary depending on the model. The shipping cost to the United States is currently fixed at €300. We can calculate the offer separately based on the customer's needs.

The Evo 4.2 is 4x2 meters and is 1000 euros or roughly $1000. This does not include grading, installing/compacting base, installation of turf on the frame and sand installation. My impression is for the $1000 I just get the Evo materials and that's it. And that $1000 does not appear to include shipping. For about $500 to $1000 I can have a concrete tee installed professionally and not have to do any of that stuff myself.

Just saying.

We've hashed this out with this gentleman before. He's so cocksure of how amazing his product is that he doesn't care to listen to the cost effectiveness rationals. That was the jist of the post I was gonna make before I decided to just let it be. I've got a multitude of issues with this business model.

But apparently he's still in business so kudos to him.

Proving half of the old adage, "You can fool some of the people all of the time. ..."

It's a large and varied world. I suppose there could be a few people somewhere, who find something like this worthwhile. Not public parks or shoestring private courses, but someone with plenty of cash, for whom portability and minimal labor needs are worth the price.

I don't know any of these people, but they must exist somewhere.

Flatpad was also asked which courses have them installed and was only able to show temporary installations at a tournament, which they were a sponsor for. They were asked if the tournament paid for the pads or if they were provided for free as part of the sponsorship (i.e. we will sponsor the tournament BUT you have to use our pads) and the answer was 'contract privacy' (okay, not those exact words). So no one really knows if these are being used anywhere and if anyone is actually buying them.

Flatpad might be making other products that keep them in business and this is just one part of their company.

Excellent points. I had forgotten about those bits. Yeah I'd be curious to see where they are actually being used, and subsequent, the course reviews that might mention their use. Hmmm. Maybe someday we get answers? Won't hold breath.

If I was in the market for teepads, I sure as hell want that information before even contemplating these.

Seriously this is a thing? Out of all valuable stuff out there, somebody would steal our teepad? I can understand bicycles or car wheels, which can be sold for cash.

Anyways, to steal Flatpad. One needs to know exactly what to do. Yes, check the videos and you see how it is assembled. Maybe you need to steal right tools first to disassemble. Then you might want to have friend helping you to carry modules. They can be carried alone, but you need to be strong enough. Also remember to get something for transportation. So yes, can be stolen if one is determined to do so. You just need to have lot of will power to carry it out.

You don't know disc golf very well, do you? :p
